"COLD HEARTED, SNARKY, RACIST, MANIPULATIVE,CRUDE,CONDESCENDING, DISRESPECTFUL OWNER!! BEWARE!! Please read before enrolling your child. What I experienced today during my first actual encounter with ANN MARIE QUADE, the owner, was so hurtful and disgusting. I would never recommend any parent to place their child under the hands and supervision of such a heartless person. But also I believe the real issue isn’t the teachers but the owner. My child was enrolled with this daycare since October of 2023 and within that time span till today, she has had 3 bruises on her face. The last two the incidents were only a week apart. So you can understand my concern and frustration when my 10 month old child has the same injuries multiple times. When expressing my concerns I was only given excuses, rebuttals and attitudes. And that was only through the phone , my experience in person was much much worse. ANN MARIE QUAID was condescending and defensive the moment we walked in. Not to mention the annoyed look on her face. She was present at the front desk which is something we rarely see her do, so she knew exactly who were and what we were coming in to discuss. We greeted and gave our child’s name and her response in return was “Are you here to pick up a child?” Very snark and very condescending as again she knew exactly who were and why were there. We had to request to speak in her office as it seemed she was comfortable with speaking out in the lobby. Which is very unprofessional especially when it is in regard to bruises on my child’s face. Once we were in her office I quickly realized there was no point in a conversation as she consistently cut us off as we tried to express our concerns. The tone in her voice was very CONDESCENDING and EMOTIONLESS, as if this was entertaining for her. As her voice began to grow volumes, ours did as well of course in which she proceeded to tell her administrative assistant TAMIA ADDISON to call 911. Also she told Tamia to “Go get the CHILD” instead of saying my child’s NAME, which I find very unsettling that she does not “know” my child’s name. But I’m sure she does and only wanted to continue to be disrespective towards us. After requesting Tamia to get “the child” she then stated the child is no longer enrolled in the daycare any longer. By her kicking my child out, leaves me with no child care abruptly and now having to miss work AND after paying a full month of daycare. Which I am expecting a refund for the 3 weeks she will not be enrolled due to being put out effective immediately. IT GETS WORSE, as we are proceeding to leave she is continuing to antagonize us and trying very hard to hold her tongue from saying a racial comment. She proceeds to lie and yell “SHE HIT ME” and again for TAMIA to call 911. For ANN MARIE QUAID to act in such a manner when a parent is coming to them concerned about too many injuries is very unsettling and only confirms what the other reviews are stating. Those are real experiences, please believe them because I should have. ANN MARIE QUAID was waiting for an opportunity to kick out an under NCI to make an available spot for a child whose parents pay full tuition out of pocket."
"We couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough. If you're lucky to be offered a place at TCC, snap it up quickly! My husband and I agreed that this was the best thing we found in Houston. Our daughter attended TCC 5 days a week from 15 months to 2 1/2 years. Every member of staff there, from the teachers, assistants, manager, admin staff and owner to the external teachers were professional, enthusiastic and inspiring. The children would do arts and crafts every day, they learnt Spanish, history and about cultures around the world. They would do exercise and play for at least an hour a day, whether it was dance classes, sport or playing outside. Staff were happy to change diapers and potty-train according to individual needs. We were kept in touch with how their day was going through an app including what and when they ate and napped and it was lovely to see photos of how our daughter interacted with other kids and the activities. The teachers and manager were always available to speak with you if you had any concerns. They were flexible about when you could drop off and pick up (within the designated times obviously) and their drop-off/pick-up hours were very convenient. TCC would organise events throughout the year, often inviting parents. We met a group of super Moms and Dads from all over the world. We honestly couldn't find fault in the school, we wish we could pick it up and take it with us to where we live now (the other side of the pond!). We are incredibly grateful to all at TCC for a wonderful experience.."
"My son has been going here a year and a half since he was three months old. This place truly cares about your child and really goes above and beyond. The Childhood Center feels like family now. Thank you for everything!"
"Please take a moment to see other concerned parent's reviews. If your child is already enrolled, I'd sincerely suggest getting your children out of there. Our daughter got a horrible diaper rash after just three weeks of being here. They do have a policy stating a diaper change every two hours, so we sent our 7 month old in with enough diapers for the week based on our schedule, and were sent home with almost half of them. My wife also witnessed the staff telling others that a parent had pulled into the parking lot and then quickly changing the child’s diaper before the parent came in. When my wife raised concerns about the changing practices and the diaper rash, she verbally assaulted my wife and threatened to call CPS on us claiming she has called CPS on multiple parents at her facility. Also note that this is a heavy traffic area. We noted children were allowed to play on broken playground equipment, where the only cautionary measure is an orange traffic cone put somewhere on the broken equipment to keep children on."
