"Great! Our dogs are happy and don’t have anxiety about being there. Katelyn did a great job with them both."
"The staff is excellent. the grooming services they provide have always been consistently good. My dog always looks forward to the visits. My only small issue is the sometimes long waits to pick up or drop off my dog. In my opinion, they need to bring an extra person to work the front desk when the line to pickup/drop off gets more than 2 people in it."
"DAY 1 I actually brought two Akitas in for grooming on separate days. I was not told after the 1st dog was groomed about the NUMEROUS discounts available. The groomer (MADISON) was great....I tipped her. She was very friendly and approachable. However, some of the other staff were both inconsiderate, and "snippy". I guess "they" (the snippy staff) were perturbed with me because I came in twice to check on my dog. One of the staff members actually RAISED her voice said to me..."Don't you know it takes up to 4 hours to groom a dog..." I was thinking that ...if she talks to me like this...how is she interacting with my dog? I am a business owner, and there is NO WAY, I would ever talk to a customer the way some of your staff spoke to me that day.... In addition to the aforementioned staff....the finished product was mediocre at best... he smelled good, and his nails were trimmed....and I paid $111 + tip for that? DAY 2... The groomer (JOEL) of the 2nd dog DID tell me about the DISCOUNTS and I was thankful for that. Both groomers, JOEL and MADISON were the ANTITHESIS of the staff members I encountered on my first visit. They were friendly, compassionate, and you could tell that they both loved dogs. This finished product on my 2nd dog was consistent with the first one....she smelled good and her nails were trimmed...and that's about it. I was just expecting more. I don't mind paying a premium price if the service is equally valuable. Unfortunately, the finished product was mediocre, at best. Petco OVER-PROMISED AND UNDER-delivered in these two cases."
"I took my dog in to be groomed today. This is not her first time there. Her appointment was at 9. I went back at noon to see if she was done and the lady said she gave her a bath but she was in the cage until she can groom her because everyone is out with flu. So I decided to walk around the store. I noticed she was with my dog about 20 minutes later as I watched in the glass. My dog was pulling away from her. She then grab my dog by her leg several times to pull her closer and my dog has a broken knee already. I wanted to go in there and say something but when she noticed me then she started being nicer to her. When I picked her up it looks like her face and I had to take her somewhere else to get her face redone and part of her face one side was longer than the other I will not be going back to Petco because my dog deserves to be treated with and for $100 there's a lot of money to have to go and get my dog redone. She's been limping and having a hard time getting on the couch all day and night . Are y'all trained to grab a dog by its leg when it's being squirmy and pull it back on the?? I'm very sad and I'm very mad and my poor dog is in pain"
"I have brought my dog to multiple vets over her lifespan. I gave Petco a chance and they called me saying my dog was having too much anxiety before even starting my other pup. I had told them it was their first time (I had two dogs get Groomed) when I brought them in because not only did I have to bring in the rabies certificate for my pup but my daughter was also telling the lady at the register about my dog's personality. When I got the call that my dog is having a "nervous breakdown and needs to go home IMMEDIATELY" my daughter and I had found our selves distraught and cancelled our plans immediately bc we could no longer wait for both of our dogs to be done with grooming because when I had asked if my pup was okay in the kennel until my other dog was done with her grooming appointment I was told "no, she needs to go home immediately" When we arrive to pickup my baby and see what was going on, the first thing that is said is that she is, "doing a lot of circles and won't stay on the table" Both my 10 year old daughter and I say at the time same, "she always does circles" if yall were professional you would understand that a border collie dog will do circles. She does circles when she is excited before getting her food, treat, for her baths, and for groomers. She has been to other groomers and was never sent home for doing circles. Because of your claim of her nervous breakdown, I took her to another small business groomer that was able to handle her personality with ease and she got the hair cut that she so desperately needed If you can't handle a herding breed of a dog, then your groomers need additional training. This comes off as terrible public relations for this establishment and yeah, you got $200 out of me but you lost on thousand other dollars you may get from me in the future. the other groomer took the time to get my dog acclimated to the environment and let her do circles and was able to work with her.... probably because that groomer was more of a professional than these at this establishment. I won't ever be taking my dog to this establishment for anything ever again nor will I shop here. Doing circles and not being able to take control of a dog to get them acclimated to their environment but instead claiming my dog is having a making me believe I need to take my dog to an emergency vet to only come to find out she was doing circles is absolutely ridiculous. Absolutely unprofessional groomers in my opinion. I will be taking my business to the other small business groomers that could actually handle my pup's personality. All you want is to get more money, but you don't realize that taking extra care of your clients and not making them drop their plans and also telling them "no" when I ask if I can wait until my other pup is done in order to come pick them up is highly unprofessional. Terrible public relations, you can get more money from other customers that you will inevitably lose with this type of employee behavior and you also lost two doggy clients. don't falsify a dog's personality as a health condition when we told you at the beginning. She didn't bite anyone and she didn't become mean with anyone because she is not a mean dog. she is absolutely friendly."
