"I didn't personally attend this counselor but my sister did. I won't speak on how the rest of her stuff went but I'm the one who encouraged her and found this place so she could address the overwhelming grief of losing her soul cat and I absolutely regret doing that. The counselor's splendid and only piece of advice? "Have you tried getting a new cat?" If that's how they address profound grief, dismissively and with no other suggested action, I wouldn't trust them with regular problems either. No one would suggest someone replace their child, other family member or partner but this is okay?"
