KIPP Northeast College Preparatory

KIPP Northeast College Preparatory is a secondary school located at 9680 Mesa Drive in Houston, Texas, United States. At KNCP, we focus on striving for greatness, taking responsibility for our actions, practicing academic excellence, and showing ambition and tenacity in the face of adversity. Our school offers a full range of athletic programs, including football, volleyball, soccer, track and field, and basketball.

We are an AP for All school, believing that ALL means ALL. KNCP provides a dynamic college-preparatory education with support systems that encourage student achievement, maturation, and independence. Classes have fewer than 25 students, and teachers help students think critically to prepare for college. Technology is integrated into daily lessons, and most classrooms are equipped with a Promethean Board. Students must take four years of English, history, math, and science, along with other requirements and electives, for a minimum of 26 credits. Our goal is for students to graduate having taken six AP classes, and our college counseling team helps students prepare for success.

KIPP Northeast College Preparatory has been recognized as one of Texas' top-performing public charter high schools by the U.S. News & World Report. We offer a variety of extracurricular options, both teacher- and student-led, to encourage student interests and college preparation. Some of these include the National Honor Society, Debate, FIRST Robotics Team, CompuDopt, Ignite, band, and other student-led clubs.

The school is led by Ayesha Fountain, a dedicated educator committed to preparing all students for life beyond high school. Ms. Fountain believes in fostering positive relationships, developing instructional practices, and creating conditions for students to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially. With a background in special education and leadership roles in various schools, Ms. Fountain brings a wealth of experience to KNCP.

Ms. Fountain holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, a Master of Science in Health Education, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. She is excited to serve as the school leader for KIPP Northeast College Preparatory and continue to support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
