"I dreaded sending my kids here from the reviews last year and due to us moving in the neighborhood temporarily I had no choice and it by far has been one of the biggest mistake of me and my children’s life. These teachers don’t care about their students. They will have no communication with you unless their calling you to come pick them up because their sick. They don’t return phone calls. They send homework home during the middle of the week and expect it back by Friday. They send projects home sometime within the same week their due. Every child learns at their own pace, but they expect all the children to be on the same level because they’re in the same grade. They don’t want to take any extra steps to make sure you child is understanding the work. The teachers are rude and have attitudes. Their just at Shadydale for a paycheck they don’t care to see those children succeed. Mrs. McBride and Mrs. Bradley are by far the worst. Mrs. McBride will send home a report card stating to setup a conference, but every time I called or wrote a note on the report card she NEVER EVER responds. Mrs. Bradley gave no communication on how my child was doing in summer school and never sent him home with no homework, paperwork or report card. My children came from Spring isd making 80s and 90s to Hisd making 50s and 60s. When that first report card came home I was shocked you’re basically saying they were taught nothing and didn't know nothing. Which both of my children are very smart and can comprehend. The principal Mr. Daily and the assistant principal I believe is Mrs. Smith are RUDE, have the worst attitude, will sit there with a smirk on their face when talking to you. Talk to you like you’re a child and cut you off when you’re trying to talk and see no wrong in the teacher not communicating with the parents. If you have to send you children to this school all I can say is stay on top of their work show up at the school because they will not return calls, but if you can I would strongly advise sending them somewhere else. The staff is here for a paycheck or until they get to a better school, they do not care about these children's education AT ALL."
