"I cannot believe these reviews! I came out of HSM as a 5 star massage therapist, their program and services are 100% worth the investment. It’s definitely a win/win! As a former student I have to say that everything about my experience has been seamless. My journey was not the easiest, but Ms. Anita (the dean) has definitely been an angel along my path. She can be strict when necessary but her kindness & ability to relate is unmatched. The environment of the school itself is very open & welcoming. The teachers all have certain personalities about them that allows them to connect with the variety of students they encounter. I’ve literally never gotten a complaint from a peer about the quality of any of our professors. I would definitely recommend! 10/10"
"Everyone on here giving low ratings and complaining about new students exploring their new career choice as a massage therapist honestly needs to take a hard look at themselves in the mirror. Even those of us that are naturally gifted healers - we all aren't going to be everything you need/want for $25-$40. And sometimes, not even for $100-$150. But at least with those prices, you have the right to complain. Leaving honest reviews about what front desk can do to better your booking experience is also reasonable in this student setting. Crying about how the school needs to be more aggressive in teaching or students not giving you a 5-Star service is so childish. It's clear you don't know the amount one must learn and practice to say they aren't being aggressive enough and leaving one star reviews to hurt a school that is providing an affordable tuition for people to have a chance to gain new opportunities with a career in massage. But I'm here to share now so you don't have to sound foolish in reviews. Fact of the matter is, we have our whole lives to learn and better our techniques. The school is simply a stepping stone just like any other school."
"This place has been a great learning experience for me as a student. The teachers and staff are amazing and very skilled. I especially appreciate Mr. Tony Nazari and Mrs. Griffin for their expertise. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to choose this place to study and obtain my license."
"I’ve been a client here for over 15 years. Anita, Jose, and the rest of the crew are top-notch. Their customer service is beyond exceptional. The massages you get here are simply great. Great value, great instructors, great massages. I come here 1 to 3 times a week. every single year for Black Friday I buy anywhere between 60 and 80 massages. I have been doing this for years. Where in Houston can you get a massage at the price point here. I got three massages this week and let me tell you what they were all amazing. Anyone leaving a bad review. Talking about the students simply isn’t fair. The students here are learning and actually they do a great job. This is coming from someone with 15 years experience with houston school of massage. I will continue to come back and I will continue to recommend people to come to the Houston school of Massage. You will not be disappointed. Top-notch service."
"After about 10-20 massages over the course of a few years, I've found "ONE" student that has any semblance of knowledge in the skill of therapeutic massage. (She also told me she'd been licensed for years and just let her license lapse so she had to get her "training" hours to get her license back, was the only reason she was even there. So she was not trained by this school.) If you want to go get rubbed and put to sleep I guess maybe a swedish massage is ok from here. But sports and deep tissue are a waste of time. I've got one more gift certificate so they'll get one more visit from me but I'm not very optimistic. It can't be the students fault but the teaching here must be aberrant. Should DEFINITELY consider allowing customers to pick senior students vs just blindly guessing. You know..... Like at a barber college."
