"WORST learning experience you can ever imagine. They barely teach you anything. The instructor seems to be very lazy and doesn’t like the job he is doing (in fact, I suspect if he’s even qualified). The class is supposed to be 3.5 hours and he only teaches about 15 minutes every day. The rest of the time is just us practicing. I understand it takes a lot of practice to become a good bartender, but shouldn’t they teach some basic knowledge first? And during the time we’re practicing, the instructor is on his phone a lot instead of paying attention to the students. I have no words for this bartending class. I once took a free trial bartending class on the east coast and the experience was much better. They walked you through different kinds and brands of alcohol and taught you enough knowledge so you know what you’re doing. The instructor even made a few drinks with real alcohol and had students taste it. But here in this Texas School of Bartenders, at least in the class I’m attending, you get NOTHING. Such a huge disappointment. I’m not sure if they are aware of what a terrible job they are doing. But I don’t think they care since they clearly only want the money, which their job is not worth any (I study at the Houston location btw)."
"Texas School of Bartenders is by far the best way to receive the highest quality training for the best price! Training is fun yet thorough, you feel like you definitely get your moneys worth. The instructors are engaging and helpful. The facilities are top notch; but the best part is that they will work with anyone who needs to be put on a payment plan (like myself). Trust me when I say no matter how little money you currently make as long as you work with them they will work with you and let you pay it off as you get the money. Not only that but after you graduate they continue to communicate with you to make sure you get placed in a good job right out of bartending school. 10/10 would do again!"
"I am very happy to choose this bartenders school, I have learned a lot about the special names of cocktails, and how to configure them to make them taste better .jack is great teacher ,very knowledge ."
"I really enjoyed this class . Trust the process! The first day will be a lot but it gets better. Jack and Jim were both great instructors & very informative. This is a great investment for sure!"
"I went to this school in 2007 and since then have worked in some of the hottest clubs in Houston including Scott Gertners, Prospect Park, The Horn, The Spot in 3rd Ward, Swagger, Fox Hollow, Crush in the Woodlands and almost all of the stadiums. If it weren’t for this school giving me a leg up it would have taken me much longer! I hit the ground running immediately after finishing the course! After working in the industry for so long I definitely recommend taking this course. Using this as a base for knowledge combined with experience will set you up for success! NOBODY WANTS TO WORK WITH OR BE SERVED BY A BARTENDER WHO DOESNT KNOW THEIR STUFF! Thank you guys!"
