"This park is amazing. Love the view of Galena. Many paths to walk on"
"Visited preserve during a weekday, not very busy at all . This is a very well maintained park and space , with gorgeous views. There are nice commemorative benches all along the trail and at the top there is a gorgeous vista. The trail was mowed and easy to follow and walk on. I read there was a loop , but we may have gone the wrong way as our trail led us out and back. It was still very beautiful and a nice work out, if you’re “older” , you may want to take a trekking pole. There are a couple spots that are fairly steep , but again, worth the walk and the views! Kudos to whomever maintains this space, very lovely. If you’re visiting Galena and want a break from the crowd, this is the perfect space."
"This is a very serene location with a fantastic view. To help you identify the different locations that you're looking at, there is a map that shows you some key points in Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin. There's a few pass available for walking and when we were there, there were lots of flowers. There's handicap parking available and a porta potty"
"Good view, due to Canadian wildfires smoke it was smoky so couldn’t see all the 3 states as some reviewers have mentioned. The road to the horseshoe mound is really narrow and not maintained. Not many cars were around so it was easy to enter and exit. This would be a nice place to capture sunset."
"Absolutely amazing history. This is a fantastic learning environment. There are educational signs, garbage receptacles and a porta potty. This is a great place to get back to learn about Native American history. conservation and stewardship. The views are breathtaking and this is a great place to teach children and adults about the history that's all around us."
