"New year brought in a new attitude - a very unwelcoming and sad attitude. For years I've watched kids playing on a small lot near the street in the afternoon. The kids were there for 40 minutes, Monday - Friday. The sounds of children playing and all the laughter was great. Then something happened and the Temple is chasing the kids away. Looking around, the trees are still there even though some Temple member complained that the kids were ruining a tree. It is just a very strange thing to do as other Temples we have had experiences with would never shun others and push people away. Very sad."
"Temple Sinai has opened their hearts and temple to Emmanuel Episcopal church for worshipping and fellowship.. Our church was destroyed after Harvey. I attend two different religious classes that the temple offers. They are very informative."
"this is one of the only pokestops in my neighbourhood. whenever i come by, i like what i see."
"My place to begin to wind down and take a breath."
"At Temple Sinai, the expression "The Warm and Friendly Congregation" is something that is felt the moment a person walks into the building. There is a feeling of inclusion and acceptance that permeates the entire congregation. All are welcome - young and old, Jews and Gentiles, firm believers and those not sure of what they believe. Rabbi Annie sets a tone within the congregation that actually makes it fun to attend services. She is genuine in her faith, and infectious in her love for everyone she encounters. It is amazing that each Torah portion, and each holiday, is her favorite; however, after a while, you begin to understand how that is possible. I have belonged to Temple Sinai for 16 years now, and honestly doubt that I would be as happy or as content anywhere else."
