"Honestly this school doesn’t even deserve a 1 star. Absolutely horrible . They need to hire new teachers that actually like their job or just not provide any services what so ever . A sweater ? Really ? These teachers should be ashamed of themselves ."
"Principal must step up and act properly to protect that kid and stop the ongoing bullying. Shame on his old and new teachers, he's just a kid."
"Getting away with bullying children is unacceptable. None of the educators here are capable of educating. None of them deserve to hold any job here."
"What kind of teacher leaves a kid without a sweater & turns up the ac to freezing to the point where to kid goes home with boogers & a cough ? Then switch the kid to a different class & he feels EXTREMELY unwelcome by the teacher & didn't let him have dinner (since they get out at 5pm) poor kid went to his parents & broke down because he was so embarrassed & felt humiliated . Do better Houston"
"Worst school ever! My daughter went to this school her 7th grade year, she is now a senior, and I never thought bullying would be an issue although I knew the majority of the school was Hispanic kids. That honestly never crossed my mind because most of my closest friends are Hispanic. Boy was I wrong. Yes, we are African American, and yes I knew the school was 98% Hispanic, and that was not an issue until the kids at school would pick on her because she was black. They would sing the la cocaracha(however you spell the roach song in Spanish) to her all the time. Try to fight her and called her out of her name consistently! I too complained to the principal and nothing was done about it. My daughter's best friend and her little brother mom took them out of the school mid semester because of the same thing! I was so happy Harmony accepted my daughter when 8th grade came, and she no longer had to endure the racism at this school. They need to make this school way more diverse than what it is, and they need to do a better job, along with these kids parents, at teaching their children not to pick on others because they are of a different culture. They should instead embrace the diversity. This is what I love so much about Harmony Schools. They are so diverse. Houston Gateway can learn a few things from them. I wish someone would of given me a warning before I sent my daughter to this school her 7th grade year. Do your research parents!"
