"In recent times, my encounters with CVS’s customer service have been nothing short of frustrating. One of the most glaring issues seems to be their phone system, which appears meticulously designed to prevent customers from reaching a human representative. In an era where technology often supersedes human interaction, the necessity to converse with a real person remains paramount, especially in scenarios as sensitive as healthcare and prescriptions. A case in point involves the pharmacy’s mobile application, which consistently fails to reflect updates on prescription statuses. Despite confirmations from my doctor about calling in prescriptions, the app shows no signs of these updates. This disconnect not only causes confusion but also underlines a significant gap in CVS’s digital and customer service strategies. The logical solution, it seems, would be to enhance the app’s functionality and reliability. If the digital tools provided by the company worked as intended, the overwhelming need for direct communication might decrease. However, the current state of affairs indicates a significant oversight in addressing this issue. Furthermore, it’s bewildering that a corporation of CVS’s stature does not allocate resources to employ additional staff for handling customer calls. This decision, presumably aimed at maximizing shareholder profits, inadvertently places a burden on both customers and employees. It’s a stark representation of corporate priorities that favor financial gains over customer satisfaction and employee well-being. Driven by these experiences, I find myself gravitating towards smaller businesses, where the value of personal touch and direct communication is still appreciated. The decision to switch to a smaller, more traditionally operated pharmacy, even at the inconvenience of additional travel, stems from a growing disillusionment with the impersonal nature of corporate giants. This journey reflects a broader desire to reclaim the essence of customer service, where businesses view their patrons not merely as transactions but as individuals with unique needs and concerns. It’s a call to action for corporations to rethink their strategies, prioritize effective communication, and truly cater to the communities they serve. As for myself, I am ready to take my business to places where it is valued, signaling a small yet significant stand against the tide of corporate indifference."
"Scheduled a vaccine a week in advance, and instead of them calling or letting me know they did not have it. They told me they did not have it when I was checking in to receive the vaccine."
"Pain medication was to be delivered 11/10/2023. I received an email 11/11/2023 saying the package would be delayed until 11/14/2023. I have multi-level spine fractures and permanent nerve damage. I called earlier in the day and was told to wait for the mail. Did that and this ridiculous woman told me that maybe I could just do without it or call the post office. This is Saturday! They are closed until Monday!!!"
"I’m not typically a complainer. But this pharmacy is beyond unproductive and unprofessional. Had my prescriptions called in this AM. Need I say for pain and inflammation. Received absolutely no kind of notification that they were received/ready. They’ve been here all day. Nor did anyone answer the phone the 4x I called through out the day with 15 minute waiting durations, to pick up my prescriptions… as a patient in pain and seeking nothing but relief from a simple medrol dose pack and muscle relaxer. No difficult Rx’!! Need I add I’ve been sitting here at the pharmacy in line, still in pain, since 7:30pm for my prescriptions and have yet to be helped at 8:20pm, behind 2 others who had difficulty having their prescriptions filled. Bless the pharmacist if he’s the only employee, as there were no other employees when I picked up my prescriptions, but this type of service, especially in pharmacology, and coming from a medical professional, is unacceptable. The treating physician through my Dr emergency hotline assured me she spoke to the pharmacist herself to assure my prescriptions were called in, whom she also had a difficult time getting ahold of, as a TREATING PHYSICIAN. To get to the pharmacy at 7:30, behind 2 people, and finally helped by 8:20. Neither of my prescriptions had been filled yet and past their closing time 8pm so there was no leaving with them even if they had been. Just to leave empty handed and in pain. Pray this pharmacy fills its shortages/gaps and gets it together in such a profession for their patients sake!"
"Target itself is nice but the pharmacy messes up so much now. The pharmacist is rude. I could barely talk over her. They shorted me 2000mg worth of asthma medication. They also keep filling my medicine under doctors I don’t even see. One of my doctors had to rewrite a script for me again cause they keep making mistakes."
