"I would be interested to know if my transaction today involved illegality on the part of Goodwill. This is the first time I've been to this store. Compared to other Goodwill outlets this one ranks lowest in merchandise. It's not even fit for landfill. Consequently, I only went to the checkout with three small items. The cashier charged me for 2 pounds even though the scale showed half a pound. When I brought this to her attention she said she goes by what it says on the register. I told her that makes no sense. The supervisor stepped in and waved a piece of paper in my face on which was hand-written what the cashier is to charge for various weights, regardless of what the scale says. When I said this is not right she got quite rude and told me to shop at any other Goodwill. If Goodwill has notices on the wall declaring that they charge $1.79 a pound, then it makes no sense that they then charge me $2 for half a pound. It's not the money aspect that annoys me, rather the ethics behind behind it. Surely this kind of underhanded activity is covered by Texas law regarding weights and measures."
"It is a very crowded place and when looking through the bins it is extremely unsanitary. They put everything there unwashed and it is the cheapest experience imaginable. You have to be careful of what you grab because if you’re not paying attention for even a second you could be holding a pair of dirty underwear. Honestly wouldn’t recommend going here because even if you do end up finding something good for the cheap price it isn’t worth the hassle of looking through all the crowded dirty bins surrounded by resellers."
"If I could give it no stars I would have! Lady was rude as hell saying they're closed when the signs and website CLEARLY STATED that they didn't close til 6. And I showed up at 5:40. Don't shop here!"
"I come here often and have for years and I like it. You’re not gonna beat the price at $1.79 per POUND of merchandise. I will say the employees used to be a lot nicer. Now a lot of them are very rude and try to run the place like it’s a prison and they’re guards. I get that they have to make sure people follow the rules but a lot of them are very aggressive. I saw a woman get yelled at in front of everyone for touching clothes in a bin before they gave the okay and she told me later it was her first time and she didn’t know. I felt bad that they’d embarrassed her like that. My only other complaint is that sometimes the music they play is so loud it’s like you’re at a nightclub. I like to have my airpods in and listen to music while I shop and it’s pretty much impossible in there bc their music is so loud. The other day it was so loud it sounded like it was going to blow out the speakers."
"Used to be a good place. Sad it no longer is, sad I only got to go a couple of times before its decent. It's not the bin format that bothers me, it's the quality of the goods and amount of people that are now there. It's not what it used to be a year ago."
