"I lived here and I really enjoyed it. The pools were always clean, the staff was great and the property was well kept. If I ever need an apartment and if the staff is the same DJE I'll definitely rent here again."
"have been living here for almost a year now and all I can say is I can’t wait to leave. this has been the worst 10 months ever.. when my boyfriend and I moved in we were provided with 2 keys, 2 mail keys, 1 key card for the gate and a gate code. we were new here to San Antonio and loved how the “luxury” model unit looked so we decided to go with that exact unit and floor plan. once it came closer to moving in I had already put my down payment and admin fees were paid and I asked if I could tour my unit just to make sure my California King Bed and Bedroom set was going to fit I was told no multiple times and was told I can only view it once I signed and received my keys. When I received my keys I was shocked with my unit and not in a good way. this “luxury” unit looked nothing like the model unit. broken cabinets that got trimmed down to make a “new” cabinet instead of getting a new one, dents & missing patches of wall/cabinets were over painted instead of being fixed, doors/cabinets were shut after being painted so it’d cause damage when I opened them, sooo many gnats and now small roaches everywhere, gate is always broken, water is constantly shut off for leak repairs, when making a maintenance request a worker unlocked my door and my dog growled towards the door and they closed it and locked it and when I called the office and told them I didn’t want anyone entering my apt without me saying yes or giving me a call and a couple months after telling them that I had a maintenance worker unlocking my door while I was asleep. vents on roof in kitchen/dining area/ hallways towards restroom have been gray and roof around it has old gray marks from dirt, washer/dryer (in unit) are super slow.. dryer takes 3 hours to dry a regular sized load and when drying the laundry door gets so sweaty it leave a huge puddle of water in the hallway, storage room on patio is beat up, balcony has green staining all over pavement, when I used my dishwasher for the first time in my “luxury” apartment all the water started coming out from under my sink as soon as it turned on, fridge stopped working maybe 4 months in living here which caused all of my items to rot, cars are constantly getting broken into/ keyed and when brought up to front office all they say is to make a police report and they’ll keep an eye on the building (which never happened) yet they can barley answer the phone lol, code that was given to me when I moved in was disabled so I was forced to buy a second key card and 4 days after our gate was broken AGAIN so that was kind of useless and out gate is still broken as I’m writing this, packages/door mats/decor/etc is constantly being stolen. I could go on forever about how bad it was living here. Please listen to reviews like these, we’re just trying to help you avoid the situations we’ve lived. Once I moved in I came to the conclusion that they didn’t want me to tour my unit before paying because they didn’t want me to back out when seeing what a mess it was after paying an extra amount to have a nice unit. Pictures on their page is the model unit which is nothing close to what you’re actually getting. Stay away from The Lennox"
"I signed a lease with The Lennox Apartment, there were two days left to move in then they called me to tell me they couldn't give me the apartment because a lot of repairs were needed to be done. They wait for the last minute to go and check it out if the apartment was in good condition to be rent. They didn't give me any solution to my problem. I had to miss work to look for another apartment. These apartments are not professional at all. I don't recommend them"
"For the past year and 7 months I’ve been promised things would get fixed, the building would be level one day, the leak under the building would be repaired, I wouldn’t have a caved in roof or a floor separating from the wall where my daughter crawls in her room, yet every 4 months the office staff changes, every 4 months they say there is no higher management I can talk to, and yes I’ve tried calling higher management off Google, but of course they don’t answer. And I pay $1,400 plus $400 cps bills and it’s still hot as heck. But I don’t see them caring about any of this. Happy to finally be leaving. But no matter how I leave my apartment I won’t get my full deposit back because there’s an automatic sanitation fee so they can give you an apartment however they want and you’re still going to pay for it. Update: They commented on this finally that they’d like to discuss further but there’s nothing to discuss, just things that need to be fixed for a livable condition."
"I’ve lived here almost 4 years. Overall, staff is great and nice, maintenance is great and they quickly and effectively fix any issues. These are older apartments and with that said I will be moving once my lease is up because my rent from 2014 to now has gone from $580 (with fees $635) to $685 (with fees $720+) and I’m in an outdated, 521 sq ft. If I decided to stay, my unrenovated unit will increase to $709 & with fees probably $750. The renovated units my size are starting at $759. I can get something newer & larger for that price. Also, just as of this new year, mice have been clawing at my bedroom ceiling. Poison has been applied as of today and hopefully I won’t have to hear them again and definitely never see them at all. Covered parking is first come first serve and it sucks when people have their guests over and they don’t have any common sense to not park there OR residents parking more than one vehicle of theirs here. Assigned covered parking was voted against by residents. Its fairly quiet out here, no drama as far as I’m aware of near buildings 11-14. The paint has chipped in the nearly 4 years I’ve been here, walls have cracked, ceiling have cracked, there was a large gap in between the main door and door frame, so I had to poke a towel through to keep as much heat in than out, but they eventually put a weatherstrip there. I haven’t had any bug issues, other than the occasional silverfishes and now tiny black ants in my bathroom. The area is convenient, so I will miss that. The dog park was a nice add on but the fencing needs to be changed to a regular designed fence. So many small dogs slip through the gaps of the current fence out to the main, busy street. The parking upfront is bad, but it’s plentiful if you move from buildings 9 and back. As far as packages, I never had any issues, however recently the new girl they hired may overlook your package & say they don’t have it. So, I would recommend when picking up packages to state where it came from (Amazon, JCpenny etc), to assist her in finding it better. I’d like to add the walls are paper thin. I’ve heard neighbors snoring, fighting, singing, etc. However, I would still recommend Vizcaya to others."
