Flats on Wakefield

"I started my lease of 6 months on the 1st of December with my boyfriend. I was supposed to start in November but move in was getting pushed back due to the flooring people being given the wrong deadline. The couple of months was fine until we experienced flooding and leaking that caused our floors to become water damaged. Maintenance got around to trying to fix it through multiple visits and now we no longer have any leaking or flooding. However, when this months rent came around we noticed the water bill was higher than usual. We wanted to make sure we weren't being charged for the water that was from the constant leaking. We asked if they could fix or at least investigate the charges. We were told by the office that they can only edit the charges on the 1st when the rent is due. We then asked if we'd end up being charged a late fee to which we were told no, that they would take that off after investigating the charges compared to other units. The 1st rolls around and we call and visit the office to be told that only the manager can change the charges but she's not there and to check back in another day. We were hesitant but agreed due to the late fees being discussed earlier. Later that day, I start receiving emails and calls about being charged a late fee due to not having paid rent yet. My boyfriend calls Monday morning to ask for the manager again only for his calls to be declined. Fast forward to today, my boyfriend goes into the office to discuss the late fee and charges from the leaks. They then tell him the fee can't be changed because we didn't pay the base rent when it was due. We were not told this from the start or else we would have paid it on time. Either way, I still went in and paid everything. I then check my email to see a notice to evacuate by the 8th from the morning. I then go to the office to be told at the front desk because my balance is zero I shouldn't be asked to evacuate on the 8th. This is the same person who promised we wouldn't be charged a late fee so I really hope no one shows up at my door on the 8th trying to evict me and my boyfriend."

The complex always has some sort of event going on for the holidays and my kids enjoy it the property is always clean and quiet and parking is never an issue also the dumpsters are always attended to I’ve never seen them over flowing GREAT JOB FLATS ON WAKEFIELD"
