"DO NOT LIVE HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT!!! It is not worth it. The unit was infested with roaches, the complex smelled like urine from all the stray cats roaming around. And my unit had severe plumbing issues. Severe as in my toilet was constantly leaking into my kitchen, where I would cook and prepare my food. I had told maintainance several times and they told me I was lying because it was never actively occurring when they came to inspect it.that the leaking was from somewhere else. Despite the visible water damage in the kitchen ceiling. In the last mo the of my lease they finally went and tried to repair the plumbing after I had asked for a new unit. They sawed open the ceiling (by the way, this place has asbestos, they apparently aren't legally obligated to remove it but they have to tell you, so dont puncture the walls)and left the entire kitchen covered in paint and saw dust and presumably asbestos. I left without saying a word and a year later they sent me a bill saying that I owe them for damages to the unit despite that I reported every issue and that the unit was faulty to begin with. They may be cost effective but they only rent out units that are subpar for human living. Physical location was nice I guess, but not worth living like an animal. If you can afford to live elsewhere do so."
"Rented here a few years ago with a roommate. Water heater broke and it took them two weeks to get it fixed. Two weeks of cold showers.. Place was infested with cockroaches outside and in. Parking lot was terrible. Washing machines at the laundry building were inconsistent in whether or not they worked, or accepted money. Also when we left we got a cleaning bill which was expected, and we paid it off as soon as we received it. Week later I get a call from a debt collector about that bill because apparently they sent it to collections literally the same day they sent the bill out. This is definitely a "you get what you pay for" place. Only good thing was it was pretty cheap."
"I've been living here for almost a year and I still haven't had my AC fixed, got my car towed because I was changing my tire, have had my privacy invaded by the maintenance guy, and had toilet problems all year. Not to mention the traffic is terrible here. We have an apartment next to a goodwill and every morning we get woken up with their ruckus at 5 am. The apartment itself is very boxy and has more of a storage feel than an apartment. The plugs on the wall are old and cannot hold the plugs in them. They dangle while being used, which for me, seems like a fire hazard. When we first moved in a vent fell straight down almost hitting me but they didn't fix it, they just said to leave it. Afterwards a draft came in and the room would get cold quickly. The back "gate" doesn't close properly and let's anyone walking at night In. I've seen hobos near the trash bin. In reality these apartments are good for a start but don't expect a living here."
"Maintenance are so bad! I have like two weeks calling for maintenance and they never come, I called pest control because now my apartment has fleas cause as neighbor has a lot of cats and he never came! My shower is clothed and kitchen sink to and now my toilet doesn't work AND THEY NEVER CAME! I truly recommend for you guys to not move in I have one more month until my lease is up and I CAN'T WAIT TO MOVE! I have a one bedroom and it's 698 but they charge 35 for trash and water and that last THEY Never told us"
"Friday, Nov. 29, 2013. Nicholas N. I am satisfied with the services offered at Stone Oak Place Apartments. I have lived here for three years and now I am moving to another city in Texas in December. The staff here is friendly and caring. I feel safe here. Maintenance here is great, one Sunday night my air conditioning went out and one of the maintenance men, Angel, happily came to repair it that night. They have promptly fixed any other needs as well. Parking here is great. The grounds are clean. Nice pool area and tennis court. They just got new close washers and driers. This apartment complex continues to invest in improving the grounds here, like new stone work (masonry), freshly sealed parking lots and tennis court repairs. Also, this is a very convenient location, everything that you could want or need, like doctors, dentists, or stores and restaurants, is within a 1.5 mile radius from here."
