"I rented there for 16 years until Blue Leaf Management company bought the place and said that they wouldn't renew my lease, though I had never so much as been late with rent and they never gave me a reason. I ended up having to make an unscheduled move after being sick, after dental work and after major car repairs. I never had any complaints and had survived five or six previous owners and had gotten along great with all of them. Except for Blue Leaf and except for Angelica Castro, the head property manager at Westlakes. * My car got towed even though I specifically made a trip to the office and was assured that it was registered. * My A/C went out and it was suggested that 92 degrees in my apartment was "normal". * They have no respect for privacy. * Somehow they cancelled my contract with my ISP and involuntarily made me a Spectrum customer, even though none of that was in my lease. * Maintenance requests were closed out as "complete" when nobody had so much as investigated them. I admit that I'm not the most diplomatic person in the world but when I've gotten along with half a dozen owners and literally scores of office/maintenance people there in the past, I don't think the problem lies with me. The one thing that I'll give them is that they were more or less fair about the deposit. I'll definitely look out for Blue Leaf in the future and avoid the entire corporation."
"Worst place I have ever lived. If you pay your rent and live with all the repair issues without notifying them, they will love you. But if you have heat, A/C, water, roaches, ants, mold, toilet issues, or any actually issue that needs repair, the office won't care. No matter if you have a newborn or elderly person in the apartment. Maintenance spends half the day chit chatting in the parking lot, or at the office. Office employees are usually only two and they take up the parking in the front buildings, pool is usually nasty, and the parking in front of the office is hardly ever used, but no one is allowed to park there. Gates never work and when they should be fix, they break again in a day or two. Cameras don't work, there where two times my husband's car got broken into. Code to the tiny room they call a gym, hardly works and if you get flooded, they will dry the carpet but not replace the water damaged carpet. Avoid if you can get into any other apartments, the stairs are broken and it is very unsafe to have children in this envirnoment."
"This apartment complex has got to be the most awful, most unprofessional experience I have dealt with for a list of reasons: 1)The AC has not worked for MONTHS towards the end of the lease. We constantly complained to the office workers about the issue and and we were always met with false fixes and excuses until they eventually told us that it’s not their problem. Which wouldn’t be the first time by the way. Talk about zero accountability. 2)Predatory towing, God forbid you forget to register for parking for a brief moment. Those tow trucks are out like vultures and will snatch your vehicle in a heartbeat. 3)The pipes under the parking pavement has busted at least 3 times since we’ve been there, leaking water everywhere on the property. As a result, this caused the water bill to rise and we were still expected to pay for it. 4)Communication with the property managers/workers is lackluster and even targeting. For example, we’ve had to report numerous issues over the course of the lease and we feel that the this has caused resentment towards us. We had to get the parking pavement “repaved” in sections and they were supposed to email all residents to move their vehicles to the appropriate sections to avoid towing. However, we did not once receive any emails warning us about the situation which would’ve resulted us getting towed had it not been for another resident giving us a warning. That’s just ridiculous and unprofessional that we had to find out through a secondary source. The list goes on but this is just scratching the surface of how awful this place is. I advise everyone to stay away from this place. I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy."
"DONT MAKE MY MISTAKE This the WORST apartment complex I’ve ever experienced. I absolutely will not be renewing my lease for the following reasons, maintenance takes forever to fix stuff, leaks in the parking lot( that we have to pay an insane water bill on), multiple break ins, the gate is broken, the pool is never open, the office employees are very rude and unhelpful, peeling paint everywhere and I just literately don’t feel safe here and can’t believe how much $$$$ I’m paying to be here"
