"I’ve lived here since 2020, the longer I’ve stayed, the more problems there’s been. 2 people have died here, shootings late at night, roach infestations, management always changing for some odd reason, etc. My family no longer feel safe & currently looking for somewhere else to live. I recommend that you do not live here."
"Edit: I no longer feel safe to live here and had to sell my car that was vandalized multiple times causing my insurance to go up to the point it was no longer affordable. Old Review 4+ years ago: These are amazing affordable apartments they are very spacious. You won't find a better place to call home in this price range. The staff is friendly and very kind with everyone that comes onto the property. Love having carpet all around. I have looked at various different apartment complexes in the San Antonio area within the price range and could not find anything better than Costa Valencia most places are smaller, have horrible parking or could just flat out care less about their residents. Although I never attended any they host tons of activities. My 3 closest neighbors are friendly and I have gotten to know them since I moved in. When applying to move in have patience they will do there best to get things moving along but everything needs to be approved by there corporate office and back and fort responses can take some time. I also experienced this requesting an apartment unit transfer. Still would not knock off a star for the delay and policies in place. I have seen a few rude residents at the office as to be expected anywhere and the staff knows just how to handle them and keep there cool."
"My daughter in law unfortunately signed a lease with these apartments. She has had an infestation of bugs which the property manager took its time to address (4 weeks). Code Compliance was called but since she was in the hospital, they were not able to acquire access to the apartment. Then she was told by the property manager (Elizabeth) that she would be moved to another unit within the complex but Elizabeth wanted her to personally pick up the new key and sign her new lease. It would not have been an issue if it were not for the fact that my daughter in law was in the hospital because she gave birth to her baby which was explained to Elizabeth via phone call by my daughter in law. My daughter in law went yesterday (Tuesday) since Monday was Labor Day and the offices would be closed, only to be told by Elizabeth that she needed further documentation from her doctor. Elizabeth had never before mentioned any other document needed until my daughter in law went into the office expecting to pick up the key to new unit and sign new lease per previous conversations with Elizabeth. The office staff to include Elizabeth were discussing my daughter in law and laughing at my daughter in laws situation in a room with the door opened while my daughter in law was outside of the room and could hear everything. Elizabeth discussed personal information out loud where others around could hear, very unprofessional. Do not move into this complex. Ladies in the office are extremely unprofessional and work orders placed will never be worked on. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! If I could give no stars I would! Based on prior reviews written, the bugs in the apartment were bed bugs; seems to be a constant at this apartment complex."
"Someone broke into my car no one cares I asked around to see who could figure out why this happened people just look at you like it's your fault when the reason my car was vandalize, was because I had to get inside quick to get away from all the shouting and wemon beating up on there boyfriends outside so it isn t any wonder who did it now just gotta find out who did i't ."
"I have resided at Costa Valencia Apartments for the past ten years, and based on my experience, I strongly advise against considering this establishment for your housing needs. Today, on May 26, 2023, the pool was reopened after an extended closure. Unfortunately, the situation exemplifies the many problems I have encountered during my time here. Multiple emails were sent regarding the pool rules, but it appears that nobody in this community is interested in adhering to them. Children are frequently left unsupervised, with some parents even dropping them off at the pool alone, fully aware of the potential risks. Unsupervised kids run rampant, creating a chaotic and unsafe environment. Regrettably, the security situation at Costa Valencia Apartments is abysmal. Car break-ins occur on a weekly basis, leaving tenants in a constant state of anxiety about the safety of their vehicles. The residents themselves demonstrate an alarming lack of consideration, with frequent instances of domestic violence taking place within the complex. The sounds of altercations, often involving physical abuse, can be heard regularly, leading to frequent calls to law enforcement. The presence of the strong smell of marijuana in the hallways further adds to the unsettling atmosphere. To compound matters, the presence of drug trafficking activities near the apartments, particularly in the park area, is deeply troubling. Over the years, I have witnessed multiple acts of violence, including fatal shootings. It is an environment where personal safety is consistently compromised. Customer service at Costa Valencia Apartments is nothing short of a disappointment. The office now requires appointments for any visits, yet they often fail to answer phone calls. Even when they do pick up, their ability to promptly resolve issues is severely lacking. They frequently ask for a few days to follow up, but sadly, they rarely make good on their promises to return calls. Knocking on their door without a prior appointment is met with terrible treatment. Additionally, the behavior of the children within the community is extremely concerning. They engage in acts of vandalism, throwing objects at apartment windows and banging on random doors. Some have even been caught vandalizing cars, with their parents showing complete indifference to their children's actions. On a slightly positive note, the maintenance workers at Costa Valencia Apartments deserve recognition for their consistently friendly demeanor. Despite being overworked, they maintain a positive attitude and approachability. They make genuine efforts to address maintenance issues promptly and assist residents with their concerns. Their friendliness stands out amidst the disappointments of this place. However, I must also mention that management sent out emails regarding the introduction of a common area for barbecues, stating that personal barbecues would no longer be allowed and needed to be removed from the premises. Following their instructions, I disposed of my own personal barbecue, as did many others. However, the majority of residents failed to comply, and management never followed up on the matter. The promised barbecue common area was never created, leaving residents without a designated space to enjoy this activity. Furthermore, allowing everyone to have barbecues so close to their apartments poses a potential fire hazard. It is concerning that management neglected to address this safety issue and failed to provide a secure and hazard-free living environment. In conclusion, my ten-year tenure at Costa Valencia Apartments has been nothing short of a nightmare. From the unruly pool environment to the frequent criminal activities, this place is far from suitable for anyone seeking a safe and peaceful living environment. The lack of responsiveness from management, the concerning behavior of tenants, and the numerous safety hazards make Costa Valencia Apartments an establishment that I strongly discourage anyone from considering as their place of residence."
