"Living here since February 2023 has been the absolute worst experience yet. There is not one good experience about this “Luxury” apartment complex that I can share. The office staff, Ana and Joanna to be exact, are the most incompetent, condescending people I have ever dealt with and would rather act like DMV employees rather than fix what the true issues are. To be towed not even after 4 hours of owning a brand new car, simply because the office was CLOSED and was unable to obtain a parking permit in time, is just outright criminal. When issues are brought up, you are either made to feel like you are a prisoner in the state penitentiary, or they simply don’t know how to handle your situation, as they care more about being pretty desk workers, instead of treating their tenants like people and caring that this is peoples actual homes. This complex is far from anything luxury, from the dog poop covering the grass areas, to the bird poop all in the breezeways, this is not worth the amount of money charged for rent. If the office staff was actually educated, and treated tenants like people and not prisoners, then it would be a halfway decent place to deal with. I seriously hope Highmark Residential addresses their leasing staff’s incompetence and attitudes, especially Ana and Joana in the front office, as I would recommend they find new professions, maybe DMV employees."
"Shamayllis is to the point with his job, he was very responsive when we were first starting our lease. It's been about a week that my boyfriend and I moved in, the most trouble we have had is parking. My boyfriend went to speak to the front office about it and was told that they will "try" to fix the problem. We had no choice but to rent an attached garage which added $175 more to our monthly rent because they didn't have much available for reserved parking. He was also suggested by a woman in the front office that I park in the dog park area, I get off of work when it's dark and I am pregnant. What kind of suggestion was that when that's guest parking and far away from our building? The second thing that we had trouble was how dirty our apartment was. There was dust everywhere and we had to use a wet vacuum and the dirty water that came out of that was nearly black in both our room and the closet. There was also some kind of brownish smudges on our light switches and blinds...don't know what that was I thought it was paint from maybe them spraying the walls but when I cleaned it... it came right off like dust. One last thing, this is the first time I've lived in an apartment, and we are on the second floor. My boyfriend and I have both experienced our floor "bouncing" when we walk, and it makes us dizzy. Not sure if that's normal. Other than all of that, the complex is pretty quiet so far. The upstairs neighbor is pretty loud but figured that would be expected. Location is great, HEB and Walmart are right across the street. The elevator is good to have in our building, the doors get stuck at times. Maintenance was pretty quick when we first filled out what was wrong with our apartment. Our AC actually went out last night as well, so hopefully that'll be fixed as soon as possible as the first time around. We have 13 more months to go so I'll come back and update."
"They towed my car that had dealer plates because it did not have the apartment complex sticker, because as the dealer plates hints, it was a new car. I had to keep it from dealer after business hours since they didn’t have my car ready on time but thought they would never tow a new car… because it was obviously new. Well it turns out the dealer plates made it a prime target for the towing company that suggested I only get loaner or new cars during business hours so this did not happen to me again. When I asked Ana if the office team subscribed to such thought she suggested I ask for reimbursement from the dealership. Therefore they apparently do. I can’t believe that I live in a place that associates and contracts with companies that treat customers like this and deploy these shady business practices. Do yourself a favor and look up Creswell’s Towing so you know what I’m taking about. Not only google reviews but with the BBB. Then question why this “luxury,” Apartment complex would associate with with people like that. Thanks for making me drag my wife and four year old out of bed at 6am on a cold morning to retrieve a car taking through questionable means, being okay with it, and not sticking up for us. Response to Owner: I’ve contacted the office and gave them all relevant information most of which is in the review above. If you want any further information to make the experience right call me. You all have my contact information. That’s what a real concerned landlord would have done instead of responding on a google review. I’m open to my mind being changed and will gladly update my review if you take the steps to make it right."
"I just want to make a shout out to Anna for always being of assistance when I need it most. She has helped me on multiple occasions and I cannot thank her enough. The Complex itself is beautiful and pretty quiet in my building. Overall the maintenance, staff and the community have been a great fit for me."
"This place is Far from being luxury apartments, When i was there Apt 16204 was flooded by a washing machine leaking from the upstairs apartment. Sherri hunter the community director, far from being helpful was extremely disrespectful and refused to be of any help to deal with this situation. There was a lot of damage to my personal property, computers TVs and important documents. Which they refused to even acknowledge there was damages. The pictures wont lie and show the damages clearly. Since i was moving out soon, they delayed the repairs. Leaving me in a moldy apartment for 2 months. They completed the ceiling repairs close to my move out date. All of the rooms got water damage but they only replaced the insulation on the living room area. There must be moldy insulation everywhere, the construction company has a record of what exactly was done to that unit before the other tenants moved in. I would really recommend going and leasing somewhere else. Save yourself from disrespect and being mistreated by the grand staff."
