"Manager Nichelle is super kind and will work with you UNTIL there is an evident issue. She got very short and when she realized we weren’t going to allow her to get away with such nastiness. We signed our lease after seeing model unit which was perfect. But then got our keys to the actual unit pictured below not knowing how terrible it was going to be. The keys were given to us knowing the apartment was no where near livable. In the TAA lease, there is an as is addendum, but in the addendum states unless there is proven uninhabitable living conditions. Please know your renter rights. We called NRH city code enforcement for advice and to have someone inspect the unit, and the lady we spoke with immediately recognized the name of the apartment and said they weren’t going to let this slide. So we sent over all the pictures we took. We also called a home inspector to come out and document all damage including suspecting mold infestation. They decided they wanted to let us out of our lease penalty free and with a full refund of application fees and prorated rent instead of having city code come out and shut them down. They are a couple more complaints from to the city from being torn down. Unfortunately I believe instead of fixing the apartment, they just leased it to another family. The biggest issue I see in this, is we gave them the opportunity to fix the apartment as needed before we moved in. But they wanted to let us out of the lease instead. Nichelle said quote on quote, maintenance will come in and fix the apartment but I can’t guarantee it will be up to your standards. Like what! These are health and hazardous living conditions and you can’t fix it up to that standard. Red flag. There is also an addendum stating you aren’t allowed to join class action lawsuits, so beware. We have yet to receive our refund since they said they had to send it via check."
"Do not live here. I have been dealing with roaches everywhere since the day I moved in. Old management did a much better job.. I pay too much money to be stuck living in a place infested with roaches!!! My rent was raised only $20 with new management but why is my rent almost $2,000 every month now? For a place infested with roaches and water always turned off to “fix problems” I sure do pay a lot! With the problems being fixed, it sure seems like they’re turning off the hot water every night, which sucks because when you’re a mom, you mostly only shower at night when your kids are sleeping!. I never had cold water with old management which is why I’m convinced they turn it off themselves.. On top of that, the pool is always closed, property is old and not updated. I CANT WAIT TO MOVE… I have had my townhome bombed TWICE already and have to call every time I want pest control to spray the place. Which they don’t always come… so again, why is my rent so much more if none of these things are accessible or being resolved? Old management was $20 cheaper but I was paying about $400 less, which is CRAZY since I live in a roach filled home that never gets resolved."
"Haven’t been able to get a hold of the office to report issues, we always get hung up on. We can hear these pests in the walls. We had to lay out our own poison but there’s only so much we can do. Something needs to be done about these pests (RATS)"
"Some other reviews express concerns about management and maintenance. I agree. It takes a long time for requests t be completed. For me, it has been more than 5 months. My a/c makes annoying sounds. Maintenance replaced my outlets with incorrect parts. So, plugs pop out of the sockets. Instead of getting working parts, management sometimes used parts from units that people moved out of. So they don’t fit. Or you’ll see some people with mail drops on their front doors. When they couldn’t fix central a/c, they’d throw in a window unit. Some are still around. There were plumbing issues. The dirty pipes (and whatever was coming out of them) are still visible. Kids played with rat traps. One has been in the commons area for months. Management hired people to fix/upgrade the exterior. But if you get up close, you can see it looks bad. When I call the front office, it’s rare that someone picks up. When I leave messages, asking for someone to call me, they never call back. The new manager at least replies, but the emails are rude, condescending and point fingers at tenants. For some reason, the new management does not have keys to units. I had to take time off to provide a key to copy, even though they’re the same keys that were given to me when I moved in. I feel bad because the new manager was given the community in this shape. But she shouldn’t take it out on tenants. Maybe if that same energy was directed at maintenance and office staff, things wouldn’t look like this. Sometimes, we only get one day of notice when things are getting painted. So, it’s not helpful if you’re out of town, on vacation or have a life that doesn’t involve sitting at home all day, every day. *The reply says to contact the community. I already have. You don’t pick up the phone or reply to voicemails. The manager sends rude responses via email and doesn’t fix the problems."
"Nice most days but a complete, hot mess on others. This is what I have to see today. I guess someone was evicted. The property team threw all their stuff out and just left it here, instead of taking it to the dumpster. So, not only does that resident have to suffer. All of us have to. There is also a toy on the roof. Management knows about it. So, please don’t apologize or ask me to contact you. Just fix it and try to do better. You know this is not right. Even if this person was evicted, we shouldn’t have to deal with all this stuff around our living area. The property had guys take it out of the person’s home and just leave it like this."
