"The best places ever! The staff is very nice and help you out with whatever you call them, if the houses ever have any issues, they do their best to fix it. A con is that some houses aren’t very well maintained. Specifically the older ones. But I’m sure that won’t be much of an issue once the new houses start taking over. I’ve seen how much progress this place has made and it’s amazing to see that. These are such nice houses to stay in knowing your safe, the beach is near, you have plenty of space in your property and around to walk/bike, and that there’s usually security driving around at night. My absolute favorite stay was in the beach house Kiskadee. I’ve stayed in other ones before but the pictures definitely don’t do that house justice. It’s super squeaky clean, and the layout of that house is so unique and fun in a way."

"Beach access was nice. House was falling apart. Very dirty. Housekeeping is good at cleaning around items. Layer of fifth under beds. Stains on comforters. Hand prints on headboards. Don’t be deceived by the “professional” photographs."

"Super disappointed. After an overall great stay in August at the Sea Pointer Inn, we left our review on their site. We had a few issues pop up during the stay that I didn’t even mention as to be kind. I posted a very thoughtful review with tons of the good. To be balanced, I shared a couple things that needed improvement like their knives that had plastic or some sort of colored coating on them that peels off into the food. Made a comment that hopefully the owner will replace with better non coated knives. I also noted that the bunk beds in the kids room were every bit as high as they appeared in photos. Our kids us usually fight over the top, but fought over the bottom, so our oldest wound up on the couch. I noted that the bed in the guest room was very tall. Nothing negative, just that it was tall and if you are short like us, it’s comical climbing in and out of. Every single one of these constructive criticism comments were edited out of my review. We had planned to stay with them next year in a different house, hopefully on the water, but due to their dishonesty, we will never do business with them again. Here are the notes I put in my phone regarding the Sea Pointer Inn as a basis for my review. My initial review was kinder than this and left out the hairdryer and propane, but might as well mention it now that I know they are shady in their business practices. Since they edited my review, I’ll hold nothing back here: Fridge was set to 45-this should have been checked by cleaning crew or maintenance prior to arrival. Water filter needs changed Ice is very slow to produce and runs out quickly Knives are cheap and peeling-we were getting coloring on cheese while slicing. They need to go buy a knife block from Costco or IKEA even that doesn’t have a weird unknown coating. No large bowl for a salad etc No hairdryer or offer to bring one Propane tank ran out within ten minutes of using. Emailed and they said they would bring one by. Got back a few hours later and no tank. Called both regular number and after hours at 5:30 on a weekday and no call back even the following day. Never got propane. For the price point, I expected better service. Bunk beds-our kids usually fight over the top but because of how tall they are, they fought over the bottom and we ultimately had one kid on the couch. Pros-very quiet location. We are not into crowds so this was ideal for us. Loved having the big pool directly across the street and our own in the backyard Beach access was easy and on the quiet part-peak season and hardly anyone there! House is very clean."

"Always a pleasure doing business with Franke Rentals. Their properties are exceptional. They ensure safety and cleanliness at all their rentals. Staff is quick to respond to calls and inquiries. We stay at Ocean Vista every year and have never had a bad experience."

"We rented through Franke rentals on a condo in South Padre Island from January 7 to March 4. Although Franke rentals was helpful when we were there, they totally messed up after we left. 1: I sent an e-mail to my contact before we left letting him know what we were looking for next year for a rental. I never received a response. Not even a note saying “we can’t help you” 2: I found a place I liked for a rental in 2024 & sent two messages asking a simple question before I booked. Again no response. Not even a note saying “we can’t help you” 3: I wrote a review on their website about the rental we stayed at this year & rated the review as “fair”. I went on & commented about the good things about the rental. Then commented about the things we didn’t like (which far out weighed the good). The review showed up as a “good” rating instead of a “fair” rating & only the good points about the rental showed up & nothing about the things we didn’t like. Franke rentals changed my review so people would think the rental was a “good” rating instead of a “fair” rating. This was totally dishonest on their part & I will NEVER rent from them again & will not ever recommend them to anyone! There are many other rentals to go through & we have already booked for 2024 through another rental company due to their dishonesty."
