"My elderly mom, who suffers from asthma and diabetes, lives at Villa Alegre, who claims to offer a smoke free environment. Her neighbors upstairs have insisted on smoking indoors even after she asked them kindly to go outside to smoke. She put signs on her windows alerting them and others that she uses an oxygen tank insider her apartment. Still, her neighbors have continued to smoke indoors and her apartment has a strong smoke odor that is now making her ill. She reported to management but they said that there is nothing they could do even though smoking inside the units is prohibited according to the rental agreement. I spoke to the manager and she said there is nothing she could do. I also spoke to Amaris, an assistant staff, who was very rude about our concern. Both the manager and Amaris suggested my mom move out. Clearly, this management staff does not want to enforce their policies about smoking and resident behavior. They prefer that an elderly person move out instead of sanctioning and evicting residents who are clearly breaking the property policies. The staff are rude and they are scared to enforce policies that provide safety and comfort to their residents. Please don't rent here! Update: May 29, 2023 I called the corporate office but never received a reply when I left all my information for Julie, the Regional Manager. Nothing has been resolved. The upstairs neighbors continue smoking and could care less about their ill elderly neighbor. Clearly, Villa Alegre won't enforce their policies and don't care about tenant concerns. Please stay away from Villa Alegre and Envolve!"

"The area is convenient but the staff is not, they’ll look at you like a enemy before their own resident, they tried to say we didn’t pay our deposit months after which doesn’t make sense because from what I know about them is without the deposit they won’t give you keys to the apartment, they tried telling me months after I didn’t which I know I did. Staff is hard to deal with"

"Maintenance is extremely slow. My bed, bed frame, bedding, pillows and carpet are soaked. My ceiling has been leaking and they put a work order yet no one has yet to come. They don’t pick up calls. I’m extremely fustrated with this situation I have the situation time but now my new furniture is ruined by their time Managment and negligence."

"I went to visit and the apartment was very nice. It could use a little cleaning outside on the grounds, it had some trash and someone was drying their laundry on the rock wall. But inside the apartment was nice."
