"Went in for a skin rash... Left with a lobotomy I needed to visit a clinic for what I believe is a blocked pore. Most clinics need an appointment an I didn’t want to wait, so I decided to try Minute Clinic at CVS in Red Oak, TX. I requested an appointment online, 3/23/23 at 11:20am. I arrived at 11:05. After waiting a few minutes, the Nurse Practitioner on duty, invited me into the examination room. She quickly determined that I needed an antibiotic and was going to write a prescription, when she needlessly decided to check my vitals. I have a history of hypertension; I know this, it is nothing new, but to her, it was the end of the world. She said that I was having a hypertensive emergency, but I was asymptomatic. She told me that I would need to go to an ER, to which I reluctantly agreed. This must have activated God Mode in her, even after I agreed to drive myself to the ER in Waxahachie, she told me that, now, she must call 911. She gave the 911 dispatcher my information and kept insisting that it was an emergency even though I was asymptomatic. My wife (who had been in the waiting area) was invited into the room. She expected to be informed of what was happening. However, a few minutes later, 4 paramedics came to the room. The NP rudely insisted my wife open the door. Since I had already agreed to visit an ER on my own, the demeanor of the NP had me fearing that if I refused the paramedics/ambulance, she would call the police. I was strapped to the gurney, carted off, and placed into the back of an ambulance. I never received the prescription I had visited Minute Clinic for, but I did get a $300+ ambulance ride."
"If I could give 0 stars for tammie or whatever her name is I would. One of the rudest people. Talks down to you and over you. Told me there was nothing she could do, canceled my appt and sent me away all while reprimanding me when I hadn’t been able to get to my primary care"
"TLDR: Don’t trust that your insurance will cover costs. Tammy F. needs to retire or take several classes in professionalism. The check-in process was best online, but my husband did the check-in in person. Both processes were quick and easy, which was good. However, our insurance gave us a bunch of trouble covering this simple annual physical and we ended up having to pay almost all of the cost out of pocket. On top of that, the physician that attended my husband and I, Tammy F., was the WORST person we’ve ever had to deal with. She would tell us to “hurry up.” She had to stick my husband 3 times in both hands for a simple blood draw, and me twice because the machine “didn’t read it right.” Then she made us hold gauze to the wounds instead of just giving us a band-aid. Then, she got angry with me when I dropped my gauze while I was removing my jacket for my blood pressure measurement. She just asked us how tall we were without measuring. She was constantly huffing and sighing audibly if we were confused or “taking too long,” saying things like, “come on,” or “really?” like an impatient child. My husband and I are kind people, and if she was a decent person, we would have let the multiple lancing blunders go, things happen, but for her to be so rude and ugly to us for no reason at all was just appalling and unprofessional. We wouldn’t want anyone to suffer her “service” like we did."
"PA lacked people skills and compassion. Didn’t even say good morning before telling me no. My mother called earlier to confirm that treatment was available at this clinic and she said “she didn’t care about that” and was very rude. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day, but everyone should be treated with compassion and respect and she lacked it."
"So I took my daughter here at the beginning of the year and of course they requested I pay before leaving, which I had no problem doing. The Practitioner was having issues with processing the payment and with her systems connecting to the reader. She would not let me leave and even had me pull up my bank app and show the payment was processing. I was finally able to leave after that. Over half a year later I start getting bills, I called and told them this was paid, sent emails with copies of my bank statements. I was told someone would look into it and call me back, never hear from them and when I call I am on hold forever or they are closed. I even replied to the email I sent copies to, still nothing. Today I received a letter saying they sent this to a debt collector and it needs to be paid. Why would I double pay for services? Why wait half a year to send a bill."
