"Katarina made me love this store even more!!! This was my first time to visit this store since I moved back home to Texas... And I was doing a wrapping party for Christmas and I saw all these pop shelf bags in this huge reception sized room... So I asked about this store and I went to find some stocking stuffers and fell in love instantly!!! But when the sales lady (Katarina ♥️) helped me piece together my meat and cheese trays with the cutest accessories that are a perfect fit!! I'm currently looking for my next home and starting over again and I'll be doing allot of visits to y'all in the future!!!"
"This is a great place to shop on a budget. Seasonal items change frequently and the variety is surprising. Most of the items are $5 or less. They also have everyday essentials like cleaning supplies, deodorant and food. This place is clean and inviting. Definitely stop by if you’re in the neighborhood."
"Very clean and organized location! This store has a Five and Below store, only better. The prices are very competitive as well. There were several items that were still a dollar. The staff was very friendly and busy stocking and organizing shelves. I wish they had these stores where I live. I highly recommend this location to anyone who loves a great shopping experience at a great bargain!"
"Never seen this place and I'm glad I did, employee's were very nice and helpful, store was clean and not trashed like other familiar places. This store has almost everything you need from dog food and toys to party supplies and crafts, it's like dollar general and home goods had a store baby. Good deals."
"So upon arrival to this establishment l I saw that there was available parking as well as parking for the handicap as well. This popshelf is in an old Walgreens so the space is perfect for what they have. As soon as you walk in it is beautifully decorated with items from the store. If I had to describe it, because pop shelf is new here in San Antonio, I would say it's like a five below but better. They had a variety of items and seem very stocked. Before I attended this location I went to the website to see what kind of items they had in stock. I wanted to see if I could possibly purchase the items beforehand and maybe do a pickup. Everything on the website kept saying out of stock which made me a bit nervous because I knew the grand opening was yesterday but I decided to drive and check it out anyways because I know due to covet a lot of websites are not up to date. Everything was going fine until we got to the point that it was time to check out. Again we do not have pop shelf here in San Antonio and wasn't sure about how to check out. We saw a worker checking out a woman at a register and someone waiting behind her so we jumped behind them. I was there with my mother and I noticed that one of the registers said check out so I decided to do the self checkout for my items. My mom stayed in line because she's much older and honestly prefers checking out with a person then doing a self-checkout. The lady at the register looked at the woman in front of my mom, and my mom and said it's self checkout so you can go to any register. The woman in front of my mom went to a register and my mom responded with what if you don't know how to use self checkout? The lady at the register smirked and continued helping the lady she had at her register. Then as soon as she was done with that customer she walked away from the register, not even acknowledging my mom or even answering her question. My mom responded with well that was rude and said a curse word. The lady then turned around and told my mom she needed to leave. I was still checking out my items when all of this was happening. Not once did the employee attempt to de-escalate the situation or explain to my mom how the checkout registers work. Which makes me question if there are elderly people there who are not used to self checkouts what do they do then? The employee immediately told my mother she was going to call the cops and this is when the manager comes up to speak to my mother. Though he was very apologetic my mother was clearly upset and didn't even want to check out her items now and was waiting for me to finish checking out my items. I was very disappointed and hurt by the employees rudeness to my mother that canceled my order and wanted to leave as well. While I do understand that my mom using profanity was wrong, had the employee taking the time to explain how their checkout system works it could have been easily avoided. I gave this place two stars for the the customer service that we received and had that not happen I would have given four stars."
