"Before I talk about the hotel I want to talk about the service! From the very first person we were in contact with, the parking attendant/ valet (Paul and Art) . They very kind and helpful. They made us feel welcomed. Check in was a breeze , she was also a pleasure to speak with. Our room was spacious, clean and well maintained. Breakfast was delicious variety of options. The location couldn’t be more amazing , LITERALLY a walking distance to all the main attractions ( river walk/alamo/mall and etc ) never once felt unsafe while doing so! For the price doesn’t get better than this! Thank you my stay here was more than I could have expected! - TORRES ❤️"

"The first room i was placed in had paint chips and construction dust all over the floor and on the bed. The bathroom was filthy as well. I called the front desk and they moved me to a different room of the same size. The second room was just as filthy if not worse than the first one. I was tired and did not want to keep moving rooms so I stayed in the new one only because the bed was clean. I quickly regretted staying in that room when I went to put drinks in the mini fridge and found food crumbs and a dead cockroach. I then discovered makeup all over the bathroom on the door frame, the pillar in the room, "clean" towels and boogers on the wall as well. I realize that $100/night is not much to some, but paying that much a night I do expect the rooms to be clean and presentable. The breakfast and awesome front desk staff made my stay a little better. If I'm back in San Antonio I will not be staying at this hotel ever again and I would not recommend it to anyone."

"We stayed at TRU for my doctoral graduation at the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center. The location was EXCELLENT! Close enough to walk to all of the places we wanted to go. The front desk staff, every single one we encountered, was beyond kind and chatted with us each time we passed by. They were receptive of our questions and requests for directions. Amanda was the SWEETEST! She hand wrote a congratulatory note for me before we left. Lastly, the valets are some of the fastest valets I’ve ever seen. Caleb parked and retrieved our car each time we came and went. He was incredibly fast and professional. He helped with bags and melts the car warm for us as it was very cold. We would definitely stay here again simply for the great service and wonderful staff. Thank you Amanda and Caleb for your hospitality."

"Absolutely love the location of this property. we arrived late and thankfully the overnight guy frank was kind enough to wait for us to arrive. He also printed out maps of the best joints to visit around downtown. Amanda also greeted us with a warm smile in the morning. The rooms were good & spacious but the lack of cleaning was terrible- hair everywhere and hardly any towels I had to ask for more. Breakfast was plain yet delicious. will very much return."
