The Westin Riverwalk, San Antonio

"The location is excellent, located right off the Riverwalk, and less than a half mile from the Alamo. The room is nicely appointed, and I stayed on the 9th floor. Unfortunately, two things kept this from being a 5-star review. First (and this is minor and fixable) the toilet was leaking. The second however was a loud sound that I believe may have been the elevator cabling. It would occur off and on throughout the evening every few minutes. Lessoned in frequency as the evening turned to late night, but was very disruptive. The sheets were clean, but overly crisp, almost paper like. However, the pillows - in a rare standout for hotels of any caliber - were nice and comfortable and didn't deflate to nothingness as most do. More comfortable sheets, less noise, and this would be a top pick for sure."

"There isn’t anything terrible about this hotel, but it was very underwhelming. I chose to stay here based on the reputation of the Westin brand. This hotel is worn out. Everything feels like it needs a thorough cleaning and upgrading. For example, when you get on the elevators, the walls are all banged up and there are old gum spots on the floor. It just doesn’t live up to what I think of with Westin. I would choose another option if I stay in downtown SA again."

"I have not stayed here yet, but I have reservations for several days in March. I have spoken with Brittany several times to combine 2 different reservations, and she had no problem getting things done for me. She is very professional and understands her guests' needs and definitely takes care of them. I certainly hope that Westin realizes that she is a huge asset to their hotel."

"Nice location on the riverwalk. Elevators are slow and very noisy- can hear them running all night/early morning when trying to sleep. Room was comfortable otherwise. Bar was friendly and good drinks. Food was really, really good. Edwardo makes a great margarita! Staff were welcoming."

"I spent one Saturday night with my friend at this hotel, and I want to start talking about the service it was above and beyond especially we arrived in the late afternoon and there was an event going on and lots of visitors so the service was amazing in the busiest time. I called twice to ask for stuff and they made sure to bring everything I needed and more in a timely manner. Petra from concierge helped us and I want to tell you thank you so much u made our stay amazing! . Room is spacious enough and very clean, and the location is absolutely amazing since I like to be in the middle of everything and have access yo walk everywhere at the same time it’s not too crowded and noisy as the other part of the river. I have to also mention how amazing the interior of the hotel and lobby, the decoration and Christmas tree and vibes, everything was on point."
