"If you're okay with bare bones rooms and fairly lousy service because you want a stellar location, this is the place for you. Pros: Rooms have hardwood floors. Clean Quiet Location! Right on the river walk in the center of the main restaurant area. Cons: Rooms have absolutely no storage. No drawers, no closet (a tiny area for hanging things by the door). No bedside tables, just a shelf. No microwave. Bathroom is the size of a half bath. (See picture) Weirdly, the toilet paper holder is only a few inches from the floor and the bathroom is so small the only place for the trash can is directly under the toilet paper (see picture). Horrible service. Don't waste your time trying to get housekeeping to come do the room. We've been waiting for almost 7 hours and called twice to see when they'd be here. Each time, they say they'll be right up, but no-show. All in all, not a class act. San Antonio Riverwalk is a great place to visit though."
"Good place, cooperative staff. venue was built a few years before the concept of a "convention hotel" came out, making it inferior to a couple of the newer hotels in town. Hand sanitizing stations were empty, self-parking not friendly. Overall thumbs up"
"Pros: The views are amazing. The hotel is beautiful on the inside. They have live Jazz every night at 7pm. The glass elevators make it fun to see the views! It’s convenient and close to the Riverwalk, Alamo, shops, and dining. The employees were all friendly and the room was clean. Cons: The room, even with all lights on, was pretty dark. Also, we could hear quite a bit of noise down the hall and next to us, however we didn’t complain but someone did complain that our TV was too loud. We didn’t have the TV on so I guess someone heard my phone. There are no dressers so we had to be creative with storing our clothes for the week. I paid for 2 rooms but they wouldn’t give the senior discount for the room that qualified. They wouldn’t even consider doing that. The parking was an additional $47 per day. My total was over $3000 for both rooms for 4 nights."
"Booked here for a long weekend. Family friendly and was able to secure a pack and play for the room. I do wish we were able to get a rolling crib. Beautiful lobby with expansive views. Great location in the middle of the tourist action on the river walk and across from the Alamo. Able to walk to breakfast for coffee, dinners on the river and caught a rodeo parade on a random Saturday. If we ever find our way back to SA, We will stay here again."
"Friendly staff, great location along the Riverwalk. My first night, not so good. Heard banging noises on and off all night long. Went to the front desk and told them the next morning and the answer was, "Oh, yeah, that room is next to the Service Elevator. We will move you to a different room." My unasked questions, "Why would you put someone in a room adjacent to a banging Service Elevator in the first place? & Why don't you fix the elevator to stop the banging?" My next three nights were fine. The rooms are spacious and the bed is comfortable. The gym is small and there is not much room if you want to conduct a workout that doesn't include a piece of aerobic equipment (Peloton bike, treadmill, elliptical) and annoying music was turned up. The rooftop pool was awesome, a must-see. Great view of the city. Parking is across the street in an old multilevel concrete parking garage. $54/night; $12/night for valet - pretty steep for an ancient, dirty, unmaintained, ancient structure."
