"The location is close-by to a lot of downtown attractions. The room was clean and comfortable - only a few hairs of the previous guest occupying the edge of the sink. The air freshener was a little strong on the first day, but it dissipated on the second day. We had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in our room. We didn't complete our due diligence and found out that most of the downtown hotels do not have a parking garage. One nice thing about this hotel is that if you opt for the valet parking, there is an actual place to exit Houston street, pull in, and stop for valet. The hotels we passed had no such option and it was madness, honking, and some middle fingers as these poor souls tried to park in front of other hotels for valet. Houston Street Garage is a five minute walk away and offers $10 flat rate per day if you would like that option. We parked in the Houston Street Garage Friday afternoon and drove out on Sunday morning at a cost of $20. This garage will charge you $10 each time you leave, so consider that into your planned visit to downtown San Antonio. The valet staff told me there is no charge to come and go with their service."
"Just came into town for TMEA, I stayed here and it was amazing. The elevators are old but they work fine. Staff was great and service was amazing. There was an issue we had, the toilet paper dispenser in the room was broken and the staff fixed it immediately. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay again!"
"Very nice hotel. The front desk was friendly in letting me know the details of the stay. He even offered some things to do. I saw reviews with complaints about the fact that they don't clean the rooms every day and people didn't know. When I checked in I was told and there is a very legible sticker in the bathroom mirror stating this. They also said to just notify if anything was needed and they would have the room cleaned and/or restocked. I had no issues with this. I was there for 2 nights so I didn't need anything. I did notice there wasn't any hand soap at the sink. I'm assuming they forgot to stock it and I'm hoping it's something they actually supply. I carry my own so it was fine. Only issue I had was with valet. I didn't mind the price. I was charged $42 for it. I didn't realize that the cars are kept off-site about a block or 2 away. I didn't feel comfortable with that. The attendant from the day I checked out wouldn't let me request my car in person. He said it had to through a text that had been sent, but I had deleted it. I deleted it because the other attendants were allowing for me to do it in person. There was a timer after I sent the request for my car. 8 minutes in he comes up to me to ask if I requested it or not. Made me think what was the point if he didn't even know I did it. A small price to pay I guess for an otherwise unproblematic stay."
"Could not recommend this place enough. They were so nice. They even gave me a special remote so I could use my Apple TV with their TV. They gave me two free water bottles upon check in which is really nice. Very exceptional guest service. And if you use the mobile app and are a member you get to pick your own room and I loved my view of Downtown! Oh and the roof top pool is amazing too, you can see everything from there including the Alamo! And the fitness center was nice as well. Really cannot think of anything negative. Maybe have those special remotes in all rooms just in case someone does not think to ask for it and wants to plug in an HDMI device? But besides that, really nice and could not recommend enough! Will return and will recommend. The price is not bad too, only $250 for two nights for a downtown hotel (this was back in September but still). Picture was the view from my room 1002."
