"I wanted to visit my parents for the holidays and stay at this RV park, which neighbors my parents property. My parents shared a troubling incident with me about the owner. My dad was collecting the mail at a unified mailbox location (see photo) at the same time the owner of this park was getting their mail- the lady backed up and threatened my dad with a pistol- my dad who’s almost 70, says “I’m your neighbor” been here for years, she screamed “I DONT CARE INHAVE A GUN” My dad was so confused at the owner operator- another neighbor has horses, one of them got out and went onto the RV park and the owner claimed it was “hers now” the Sheriff had to get involved and FORCE the owner to return the horse. The lady is clearly mentally unstable and has a weapon, while operating a facility with families. Everyone who stays on her property is taking a safety risk- whether she’s schizophrenic or whatever, her condition is getting worse. I’m in the news business and I would have LOVED it if my parents told me when this happened so I could have blasted them on TV. You have been warned."
"The location was convenient to San Antonio. The name of camp ground is misleading it’s not a resort. If you just need a place to park for a visit to San Antonio it works. They will not let you come in after 5pm so that caused problems getting there. Make sure you complete their paperwork, which asks for a lot of personal information even after you have already paid, or you will receive some pointed texts from office. It kinda soured our stay to be honest. Not sure if we will ever return."
"Been living here full-time for almost two months already. Amazing place, peaceful and quiet. Love hearing the chickens occasionally off in the far distance. The community building with laundry and a shower is nice and clean, and always in working condition. Owner is very kind and friendly. Love that Internet and electric are included with rent. A forewarning, if you rely on Internet for work/school or anything important, you’ll probably need to bring your own solution. The only Internet Service Provider in the area is called Rock Solid, they are extremely low bandwidth, and based on microwave dishes. Certainly good enough for email, checking weather, and other simple tasks."
"We’ve been coming here for years. We always love the peace and quiet while being close to family in San Antonio. We can see all the upgrades the owner does each year to add more to the country charm of this ranch setting. It’s one our favorite places to stay in the winter/spring. The owner is very accommodating and now even sells fresh eggs from her own chickens!"
