"I used to buy every week from this company. In the beginning I had issues with both the Austin and San Antonio warehouses but they have improved 100% and the staff are friendly and nice. Now unfortunately I will no longer be doing business with them. They added on a labor fee which between there service and labor fees, I'm now paying over 50% in total fees. That is not right. If you buy one or two items not much of an impact but several items will cost you. I always tip the employees that help me with my order that way it goes direct to them. Ask Loveseat what the labor fee is for ? Did they give their hardworking employees a raise ? I think not. Also the items originate in San Antonio where I live, when I bid in Austin's auction, I have to drive to Austin to pickup my items. Like today I went to Austin to pickup my items , out of 16 items 8 are still in San Antonio. I have to drive back to Austin next week to pick them up. They will not let me pick them up in San Antonio, where they currently are at. I've emailed customer service numerous times regarding this but to no avail. Where is the logic? It's the Companies fault my items are not there not mine.Ive included photos from my invoices..Company gets a 1, employees a 5."
"Everything worked as planned. *** 11/06/23 - Update after being a regular Customer: The company added something called Labor Fee in addition to the regular 20% service free. What this mean, you will pay a flat free on top of each item you bid and by the time of pick you still have haul it yourself. Its like pay a tip for a self checkout. They lost me."
"Update now that they are scheduling appointments everything seems to work much better. They never responded to my previous review below which is disappointing, but oh well. January 2023; They've got no parking and have a line out the door over an hour long just standing in the sun on concrete. This is totally unacceptable to not have either enough staff or a simple clipboard to call people back. I'm sorry, this is just a sorry excuse for staffing and we'll never buy anything from here again. Multiple others shared the same thoughts while they waited in line."
"I'm going to divide this review into two parts.. the company and the products. The company - I am giving the company 5 stars .. An improvement from even a few months ago when I would have rated them at 1 or 2 stars. It is evident that they have listened to customer concerns and complaints and have changed their procedures. This includes expanded pickup hours, elimination of certain fees for failure to pick-up items, and ability to schedule pick-ups. Their customer service has also tremendously improved and I sense that the attitude has shifted to a believe customer first approach. I've recently dealt with customer service, and it was a pleasant experience. Products - this is anywhere from 1 to 5 stars. One thing to remember is that this is an auction house. They don't sell products, nor do they manufacture products. It would be impractical for an auction house to open and test all the products that they list. I do believe that Loveseat could implement stricter consignment agreements and obligate companies for whom they auction products to verify the quality and certify the product condition. The chairs in the attached photo were described as factory sealed when it was painfully obvious that the box had been open, the product examined, and customer sealed. Luckily for me, the product was in good condition, but that hasn't always been the case. Once I purchased an item marked as 'appears new' when the leg was broken. 9 out of 10 times you are going to get a great product, but be aware that there are lemons out there and until Loveseat holds the sellers responsible, this will always be the case."
"Just picked this up about 30min ago. Labelled ambiguously as "Appears new" and "Customer-returned merchandise". I just assumed people return things for all sorts of reasons and surely merchandise in this kind of condition would not be resold in such a manner. Didn't pay much for this. Only $48 but obviously disappointing. You're taking a gamble on anything you buy here. I assume since they don't really inspect anything. With electronics especially I have to imagine they're not going to take each new item out of the box, plug it in and make sure it works. Gave it that second star because the staff was nice at pick-up. Polite and clearly working hard to get everyone in and out in a timely fashion. When I first rolled up to the bay door I did hear one buyer get massively upset because they didn't have what they purchased there at the warehouse. Another couple were told that "some" of the items were not there "yet". I didn't enquire about their business model at all hoping everything would just work but now I've got a few questions."
