Best Western Richmond Hotel

"Traveling with family and stopped for the night, really close to the interstate. Great staff, really friendly. The kids had a blast in the heated pool while the Mrs. and I enjoys the hot tub. Everything was clean. Best hotel I've been to in a while. Definitely going to stop there on the way back."

"We took our two Bichons for the first time ( they're 9 mo old ) so we got a 1st floor room that was dedicated for people with pets. Wasn't too bad. The bed was great. The bathroom was relatively small. Breakfast Host was friendly and talkative. Had a nice breakfast setup... wasn't real fancy but effective. Hidden cost from the original price was really disturbing.. like $90-$145.... wife wasn't happy about that."

"I booked this hotel based on a 7.6 rating on Expedia. This rating is misleading. After getting into the room I noticed that the state of the hotel was not the best (dirty carpet, dirty doors). I started to read some of the reviews and noticed that many mentioned bed bugs which freaked me out. I looked all around and didn't see any so I thought it was ok but after we went and used the pool I was still not feeling great about the whole hotel and that fact that I could see the sheets had some little faded blood spot stains which is typical of bedbugs (although I would have thought they would have been bleached out but I guess not) so I looked again. I found bed bugs dead and evidence of bug poop on the box spring right around where the bed frame metal edge and box spring meet. We got a refund and left immediately. I wouldn't suggest staying here there are so many other hotels nearby"

"Walking into this 'lobby' should have told me everything. The floors were sticky and dirty and there was a smell of sewage and intense cleaners. Our room was not ready and we had to go to an event. A house keeper came out and told us that they were understaffed and that the entire 2nd floor was not ready. We were had arrived 2 hours after check in. We left b/c we had to attend that we had driven 5 hours for and could not get into a room and change and to get ready. At the dinner at the event i called and canceled the room. We easily got another room at the Quality Inn and it was most excellent the lobby was clean and everyone was professional. Weeks after being told that they would refund my money after talking to the manager i was finally told by a maintenance man who would not give me his name that we would not be reimbursed for the room. I am calling corporate tomorrow to try to resolve this again. I would really try to avoid this delapidated business. There are so many other clean pleasant places w/ an elevator to stay at in this town."
