"Made a reservation online, called in at 5:44pm and told them we weren’t going to be there until 2-3am. I was told that wasn’t a problem. Then I showed up at 3am and was told there wasn’t a room available and that I should have called. When I explained I did I was told no I didn’t and laughed at. I am currently moving from CO to Louisiana with my wife our baby who is 1 and my mother in law. They left my family out in the cold. Like it was some kind of sick joke."

"Had a welcoming stay. Enjoyed the view. It was quiet and everything smelled clean from the moment you walk in as well as the rooms. Housekeeping is friendly as well as the front desk. I'd recommend this hotel. I noticed they are making updates to hotel. We stayed a few months ago and it's made a lot of progress which takes time but interested on the outcome. I think the guest have alot to do with the way a hotel is. If customers take good care of the rooms and items in the rooms it can have nice things but if customers don't care care of things and trash rooms and aren't responsible then why should the hotel spend money to make it better. I see a lot of guest on here complaining about the shape of the hotel or rooms but I'm sure it's the guest and not the workers that get the rooms in bad shape from time to time. Just some food for thought. So if you want nicer rooms next time you stay make sure to take care of the rooms and let's do our part as guest."

"This hotel has improved immensely since I stayed 3 months ago, - great customer service from the front desk, no longer heaping overflowing trash when you walk in the front door. And the room was so clean- immaculate! If you face the highway the noise from the highway is very loud bit that's not the frault of the hotel, I still slept well :)"

"Hotel is in desperate need of an update. The lobby, hallway, and rooms smell like mold, cigarettes, and trash. Room had broken shower, impossible card reader, and nonfunctional TV, plus was overall in rough condition so we switched rooms. Second room was just as bad and smelled horribly of smoke and mold. Plus entire place felt unsafe, as the rooms didn’t have additional locks and there were no security measures in place to enter building from back entrances. Ended up cancelling our reservation completely. Service desk understood and gave a full refund immediately."

"It's dated and could use a remodel but it's clean and the mattresses are comfortable and pretty new. The halls smell like cigarettes but the rooms don't. I always bring air freshener anyway because the entire city of Amarillo smells like horses and cattle. Can't really blame the hotel for that. Lol The front desk staff are very nice and efficient. Check in was easy. And the pet charges are low compared to some other "pet friendly" hotels I've stayed in. ($12 here vs $20-$40 per pet at other hotels. Those higher charges add up and aren't all that friendly!) Great location and the price is right when you just want somewhere clean to sleep, though the highway noise can be pretty loud. All in all, I have stayed before and will stay again when passing through Amarillo."
