Riverfront Park,

New Albany Plaza, New Albany, IN 47150

"The park is really long and leads to several other parks via bike paths/walking paths. Connects to Loop Island, The Falls, George Rogers Clark Park and homestead etc. If you're a walker, you need to be constantly aware of many cyclists due to this also being a bike path. There are many homeless people living in the wooded areas all throughout the entire park along the river. So you can't hike in the wooded trails at all. The amount of trash from it is huge. It is concerning this is allowed within feet of a waterway. All of that human waste going into the water when the River rises/floods and it rains. Major health concerns with this being allowed in a public park. There is also grafiti in parts of this park that has been there for years but recently has been improved upon as some of it is getting covered up. The new boat ramp and table area is really esthetically pleasing to look at. The colors used for all of it such as the teal blue paint and white rocks and green lights all coordinate with the river and bridge. It goes so well together as a scene that it looks more like a painting than real life. It's really pretty! Overall, I don't feel very safe, comfortable or at peace at this park. It isn't a very pleasant place to be. I do not recommend it over our other parks. Parts of this park are pretty and it has a lot of potential. It has only recently been getting better but it's still really gross and creepy."

"Been going there going there for years. Great place. Always nice people there. I do wish the restrooms would be open. Not sure why those are closed. Always cool there summer evenings."

"At this present time all streets from 7th. to the New Albany YMCA leading to the river are temporarily closed for repairs. I was never able to get to the park via the Google route."
