"I came here to give birth to my first child and didn’t know what to expect. My epidurals failed to where my back felt like it was shattering with every contraction. When I was pushing, a nurse asked if I could flip over to help get my baby out to which the doctor (I’m assuming it was a doctor, she never identified herself) said “no we aren’t doing that”. A few hours later I was taken for a c section and not told I developed pre eclampsia until after the surgery. When I was in the OR, one of the staff was displeased at the rate to which I was laying down on the OR table so she took matters into her own hands and pulled me down by my hair. The same nurse then complained when she was poking me and I could feel it telling me I couldn’t feel it. I closed my eyes she poked me and I told her she did. Then she said “well we’re going to have to do general anesthesia” in a rude tone. The staff I had in my postpartum care was pretty good. There was one blonde nurse that came in and blamed me for my son’s jaundice. This experience is the exact reason I won’t be going back nor will I have another kid. I cannot be put through that yet again. Half the staff is magnificent but the other half are absolutely horrible. Don’t come here under any circumstances."
"Worst experience just now on the phone. My sweet baby came in for surgery today and everyone was extremely nice and helpful. Unfortunately we didn’t receive dosing for the infant Tylenol and Motrin. We didn’t want to overdose and everyone was closed who could help us out. Decided to call in since he was just there a few hours before. I had the RUDEST nurse I’ve ever come across there. She was downright rude. Told me to google it or she guessed she could use google or do simple math. She kept saying the dose was on the bottle. It’s actually not. It says ask a doctor. She then said next time I have these kinds of questions call my pediatrician. Well they’re closed and I was just there. I could have been set up for success by being given the dosing by his weight. They did this for us in the NICU. This is a children’s hospital so show some compassion please. My baby just went under anesthesia and surgery. I’m already tired and just looking to help my sweet baby manage his pain. Do better and shame on you."
"First of all huge thanks to nurses Melanie and Kristy. The hospital is great and all- but what makes the hospital simply amazing- are the nurses. From the day we checked in on the 5th floor (the nurses on the 22nd of Nov early morning/night shift) to the delivery nurses (Led) and finally reaching to Stephanie and Melanie. You guys are truly superheroes- the support, explanation and help you provided us is beyond incredible. We felt safe, at home and very well taken care of. The hospital and administration should be very grateful as much as we are for having an incredible team of nurses which I personally believe make or break a hospital. Our newest family member thanks you all!"
"I gave a birth to my little angel at this hospital. The staff, nurses, radiology technician and my doctor (Dr. Michael Piegari) were all amazing. We felt like at home and happy for our 2 days stay. The room was great with extra couch for my hubby, nurses were there whenever we needed them. Food was amazing. They did a great job to take care of my baby. The only con was the lactation consultant that I needed and didn't see them until my last day of stay and she was rude."
