"We were there for a pediatric visit and we were in and out within in under 1.5 hour tops! The staff was friendly and kind. I wish I had brought my son in days earlier instead of waiting on an appt with our PCP. I won't hesitate to come in again when any of my family members need care."
"We booked online and we were seen at our scheduled time. The nurses were very kind and Dr. Patel did a great job of making our daughter feel comfortable and addressing our concerns. Office is very clean and modern. Overall was a great experience."
"The staff was great and attentive to my daughter's needs. We are very thankful for their help and will definitely coming back if needed."
"The staff was very friendly, they thoroughly explained what they were going to do and listened diligently to what my child was experiencing to find the right diagnosis. Their patience and care also stood out to me as they truly understood our needs and wanted to make everything go smooth and stress free as possible."
"This urgent care lacks basic bedside care and has negligent and sloppy providers. Our recent experience is a lengthy read but worth taking the time to finish. My 2 year old became sick with what initially seemed like a cold. She quickly worsened on Day 3. She had a severe cough, congestion, sneezing, mild fever, tracheal tugging, mild retractions, loss of appetite, and coughing spells so intense she would vomit. Her pulse ox always read 99%. Not sick enough for the ER but I wanted to get her evaluated at an urgent care. I took her to Children’s MH urgent care and thoroughly explained her symptoms. An MD briskly assessed, my concerns were dismissed, and we were sent out of the door with a “cold” diagnosis and no further testing. My gut told me this is RSV. The next day, I tried Pediatrix Urgent Care in Pearland. Ana Licona, NP was our provider. I explained her symptoms… another quick assessment. This time hit with an ear infection diagnosis and the nurse practitioner was heading for the door. Before she could leave I explained that ear infections are not contagious and today her infant sister became symptomatic too. I pushed for further testing. She agreed to do flu and RSV swabs. We waited for results. She came in and said “negative for everything.” I loaded my girls into my car, sat in the drivers seat thinking “there’s no way” and I pulled out the report they gave me to double check. Surely enough.. the nurse practitioner read my results incorrectly. My toddler was in fact positive for RSV. Which meant my baby was too. Her negligence and sloppiness doesn’t change our situation but I was seeking professional help to validate what I was seeing and she failed to do that. The least she could do was interpret test results correctly. I have a medical background as a NICU nurse at a large hospital. If people don’t have a medical background and receive care that is THIS lacking then this is how terrible outcomes happen. Parents/families/caregivers: Always trust your gut and advocate for your loved ones. Medical Providers: A thorough assessment is everything and simply putting the extra effort in to ease the minds of parents/patients/families is so helpful. Knowledge is a big part of your job but what sets apart great providers is their bedside care. Both facilities and providers must do better. The care you provided is shameful."
