"Spent 3hrs there before leaving with my daughter that had 102.5° temp. When we got there we were told there were 5 patients ahead. When we left there were still 4 ahead somehow. Granted we were walk-ins, but there wasn’t any sense of urgency to the care they were providing. Hoping for better luck at HCA."
"My daughter was seen at the urgent care by an Emily S. PNP. She was so kind and efficient. She was so caring and was able to diagnose my daughter right away. Prescribed a medication and gave some home remedies to try to help alleviate my daughters symptoms! Emily was so compassionate and would be happy for her to see any of my children. Thank you Emily!"
"I would recommend the head nurse (and all of the staff) develop some protocol for pulse oximeters. Improper utilization let to my 8 month old son getting two nebulizer treatments, and then getting put on oxygen until an ambulance took us to TX children’s in the med center (GO HERE FIRST). I had to physically restrain him through his own tears and screaming for the nebulizers & oxygen treatment for 1.5+ hours. When we got to TX Children’s in the med center they properly connected my son to the pulse oximeter and couldn’t understand why we were there and why he had oxygen cannulas in his nostrils and taped to his face because everything was normal. The staff at the heights location were all great except for this head nurse. Because they couldn’t properly use an oximeter, I feel like I traumatized my son for the better part of 2 hours."
"Went on Sunday because my daughter had headache, extremely sore throat, zero energy , fever, and nausea. They said it was a virus to wait 3-4 days . WELL today is the fourth day and I took her to another doctor and guess what?! She has strep throat ! She even got a rash because of it !! This is not the first time this happens at a Texas children’s urgent care. The same thing happened to my son a few weeks ago but at the woodforest location. But I thought maybe since this one is in a better neighborhood maybe the doctors would be better ! Well nope! Anything with Texas children is always a misdiagnosis. This family here will never ever have anything to do with Texas children urgent cares, clinics or hospitals !"
"Very nice place and well run. It was very busy when we arrived and they still processed people efficiently. They also did their best to estimate wait times. You’re never going to get in out and fast at any of these places — they did a great job. It’s also worth mentioning that they were very flexible in working with my special needs daughter, which doesn’t always happen."
