"Chubby employee with the black curly hair looked at me like I had just shot her dog for the audacity of asking for a quarter. It’s 2024, nobody below the age of 60 carries pocket change anymore. I can’t even remember the last time I paid with a paper bill and received change. Not my fault your corporate overlords are scared that less fortunate people might steal the grocery carts. She did not need to be rude, I get it’s a stressful job but please realize some people are bipolar and a seemingly random interaction like that can ruin someone’s day. Not to mention none of the self checkouts worked with only one lane open. That’s pretty unacceptable. Pay employees a livable wage and hire more."

"I have recently moved into the neighborhood and I like Alsi and this is the closet one near me. Last night I went in and it was an older white lady looks to be in her mid 50s at the register. Every time I’ve come in here she has the nastiest attitude. At first I thought it was personal but they I seen her hand the person in front of me his change and it dropped on the floor and she did not acknowledge it or him never even said have a good day. Then it was my turn and no greeting from her or anything just the same old nasty attitude. I had a $5 off coupon that came in the mail for me from this Aldi to welcome me to the neighborhood. The coupon came in pack of 3 and the last one I used ripped off the piece of barcode and was just advised to come to the register when I could use it and it’ll be no problem and that’s what I did last night. The prior times they took my coupon they used it and discarded it . This time she proceeds to scan my coupon and says half the barcode is gone so they cannot use it. I told her no I was advised to come to you all to use it. She then proceeds to scan it and it says already scanned. I asked if if it was already scanned and used why did t they discard it if that’s their procedure and it just started on the 13th and it’s the 14th. She then cuts me off and says she’ll get her manager and they’ll deal with it. Of course as a manager he had given her and immediate solution and got me out of store and she kept the coupon as she should have. My review on the woman with the consistent nasty attitude:"

"New self checkout counters are installed. Earlier I used to have concerns about fewer checkout lines due to availability of cashiers but now the concern is also addressed. Best place to buy chocolates, value for money and their private label products never disappoint."
