"I used to love going to HD and I still do for the most part, they have definitely cut down on the quality of people they have working there. In the past they would hire Retired plumbers, electricians, and even HVAC people that were true experts in their field. Now all I see are very shabbily dressed millennials who wouldn't know the difference between conduit and an air filter. They've also cut down on the sheer number of employees on the floor and those that they have don't walk you to your aisle anymore they simply point halfheartedly in the direction that you're describing. The last time I was in there I was buying ceiling fans and realized that my shopping cart was ill equipped for the weight of what I was buying, so I walked up to the front to get a flat cart as an employee was walking in with one. I very politely ask could I use that flat cart for my ceiling fans, and without missing a beat or looking up at me, the employee simply said "no" and kept walking. I've also noticed multiple employees with earbuds or just blatantly on their phones, while at the registers and out in the store. I never wanna be one of those grumpy old man who talk about the good old days, but Home Depot is definitely lost a step, and it's heartbreaking for those of us who have loved and supported the store forever. I'm sure no one in management is going to look at this review but you'll be able to manage your expectations accordingly. It's sad that another once great icon of retail has fallen to the point where Amazon is an option for me most of the time."
"My wife and I both have HDCC and have spent 1000s of dollars in this store. It used to be a great place but in the last few months the service has gone down completely. I just left the store at the paint area the young man that was behind the counter was the rudest person ever, I asked him a number of times to help me, he acted like I wasn’t even there and when I told him he wasn’t being very helpful he just scoffed at me. I had to find the paint myself and he didn’t even shake it up. The management has failed this store…. Good Bye HD"
"Cynthia - Awful Lazy Liar Manager Mr. John - also Full of it. I went yesterday to this store and purchase 2 doors, hardware and some other miscellaneous items. I am a veteran. I went to use my veterans discount... I got attitude from Cynthia that now I have to have it on the app and it's been that way for "2 years". I go to this store often. And never have had to use the app. No big deal (but she didn't have to be so rude)... so I pulled up my app and found I already did the verification for online purchases. So she scans it (reluctantly). But it didn't take off the 10%. So she starts lying that "some items don't get the discount". I asked to speak with a manager. John came over and it was more of the same. No help. So I pay over 600 and leave. But in the parking lot I checked online by adding the same items to my cart. It took off the discount automatically. Went back in to customer service. Kindra helped me. But never got the manager so I could report the two liars."
"It's a good place to shop for your home improvement needs and repairs. I do wish they had more organic options in their garden area such as fertilizers, compost, mulch etc. They do need a few more people on the floor for questions etc. They also need for the people on the floor to be much more knowledgeable about the areas they work in."
"I went to the looking for soil and I had some questions about plants. Kevin in the garden area was very helpful. Very friendly and very knowledgeable. The lady had the register. Around 2:45 Was very friendly and very nice. She also helped me with some questions about herbs. I love it when they place the right people at the right departments."
