Boiler House at the Pearl

"We are from Rhode Island and we are checking out local places. We found the Pearl district to be fantastic so we chose a restaurant to eat in there tonight. The Boiler room didn’t disappoint. Loved the atmosphere! There was a great band playing, we were greeted promptly and sat right away. Our server was awesome, super friendly. He gave us great suggestions for local bbq and bars. We had the Patriot Burger and the wedge salad with a steak skewer. Both were delicious. My husband said that the burger was one of the best burgers that he’s ever had. I chose to have the wedge with their house vinaigrette and it was great. Give the Boiler Room a try if your in the area!!"

"Came here for an early valentine’s celebration I got the salmon my boyfriend got the bistro steak everything was absolutely fantastic and the mashed potatoes blew us away. Roger was our server he gave us some amazing recommendations and was very attentive. $6 old fashions for happy hour is unbeatable as well!"

"Situated in a fantastic area, this spot offers an ideal blend of shopping, coffee, and relaxation. The restaurant boasts an impressive array of both food and drinks. The service is exceptional, creating a comfortable and classy atmosphere. With an extensive wine selection and a full bar featuring hundreds of mixed drinks, I was thoroughly impressed. If you find yourself in San Antonio, I highly recommend making a stop here."

"Ambience excellent, service was very slow, but apparently it was our server. other tables ordered drinks and food that were delivered timely. Lots of waiting between courses ordered items not delivered and not charged so he didn’t say anything. Disappointed in quantity of shrimp served with the appetizer as well as the Caesar salad that was a little soggy. Pork shank and salmon were excellent and bison balls amazing."

"Innovative menu items that pop out and make you want to try. However, I did have an issue during my visit. Located in the Pearl, this place gets busy during holidays and peak times. So make a reservation! You can dress pretty casually. The restaurant atmosphere is lively and welcoming. As said earlier, the menu items were very intriguing to me. There are quite a few dishes that look interesting and worth trying. I got the bacon wrapped quail poppers for my appetizer and it was one of the best things I've had in my life. The meat was so tender and juicy that I immediately told my girlfriend that these need to be on the menu for the wedding. For my main, I got the smoked salmon Benedict. This is where I had an issue. When I cut into the egg, the yolk did not flow out. In fact, it was so overcooked that I looked like a hard boiled egg. So I told the waiter (who seemed confused) but sent it back. A few moments later, my dish comes back out. They basically cracked some yolk for me on the dish and mixed everything. To me, this was careless because I expected to get new eggs. But instead, I got an ugly mess. Didn't expect this from a luxurious restaurant. Pricing is fair but on the higher side. Appetizers are around $15. And brunch mains are around $20. If the mains were anywhere as good as the appetizer, I would be glad to pay these prices. However at $19 for salmon Benedict, it left way more to be desired. Overall, great start but terrible finish to my meal. I hope they work on their consistency and how they handle food being sent back to the kitchen."
