"Best place to get your dog groomed. I have tried many times to find a place closer to my home without success. They just know what they're doing here and my dog always comes out looking great. Sweet and experienced staff."
"My princess looked so gorgeous when I picked her up I couldn’t believe my eyes!!! Missy got the Asian Fusion cut and I’ve never seen anything cuter in my life. It was a huge transformation. We LOVE Sandy’s. The owners are such lovely people and want to make everyone feel so special. I cannot recommend Sandy’s enough!!!"
"Very terrible groomers and management that make excuses for a very poor job completed. I was quoted $75 by the groomer, then charged $90 for “mats” that did not exist. Anna was our groomer. We discussed that I wanted a round face and longer ears like my pup had in the 1st picture. The 2nd photo was how I picked up my pup and was nowhere near what I had asked for. I also told Anna that my dog was allergic to fragrance. She returned with a floral scent and itching like crazy to the point that I had to re-bathe her. When I contacted the manager, Jessalyn regarding my disappointment, she continued to make excuses, stating that Anna cut into my pup’s face so much trying to “remove tear stains.” Any experienced groomer would know that you cannot cut out staining. Even if she had this thought, she should have contacted me first to let me know prior. The manager agreed to this but nonetheless refused to accommodate. I would have continued going here and have just tried a different groomer. However this salon has zero accountability and will overcharge you for a terrible job completed so I will not be returning."
"A few months ago my dog was a regular here. Until he was cut to the point of bleeding - back to back times at his polished pooch appt. The first time the cut was on his back right leg. The second, was his front right paw. I realized his paw was bloody when I was walking him back to the car, and I saw blood on my own hand. I did go back in and make this known, but they seemed bewildered by the situation and tried to wipe his paw (when the groomer approached my sweet dog, he started to squirm and cry… probably not a good sign). The exchange with them voicing our frustration was via email and the response was, not great, and that’s being polite. They didn’t even apologize or ask if he was okay. They told me “it took 3 people to hold down my dog and a MUZZLE to cut his nails” and that’s why he was cut to the point of bleeding. Because he was unruly. My dog is only 14lbs and the sweetest dog. Why would 3 people be need to hold him down and muzzle him. It made me sick. Mind you - we’ve taken him here for 3 YEARS and no one has EVER said he had behavioral issues, in fact, they would always say he was a sweet boy. The reason I feel compelled to write this review now, is that we found a new groomer. After his first full groom, the new groomer told us quote “he is such a gentle dog, doesn’t know how anyone could have an issue with him”. We had good times with Sydney’s, now Sandy’s, in the past - but again, the way the situation was handled was so poor, I would never bring my dog here again. Word to the owners - if any staff cause a dog to bleed, even by accident, you should own up to the mistake and APOLOGIZE; don’t lie and say my dog suddenly has behavioral issues when he is a gentle, well trained dog."
"I am so in love with Sydnee's and all of the fantastic employees who work there. Our little guy had always been fine at the groomers, until all of the sudden he wasn't according to our previous groomer. The place we had been going started to report they couldn't cut his nails. It escalated until they reported he jumped off of the grooming table, and this dog has teeny tiny legs, so we decided it was time to try somewhere new. Enter Sydnee's! We've been going there for a couple of years now and they have never had a problem doing his nails. They keep appointments limited enough that the dogs are allowed to hang out with each other behind the counter - no locking them up in kennels and there's the added bonus of his grooming appointments also being play dates. They are also super speedy, so we usually drop him off, grab a drink or lunch nearby, and then he's done. Most importantly, you can tell the people working there truly love dogs. They remember our puppy, are quick to give compliments, and we've even arrived to find him sitting on the lap of the person working the front desk. They always give him a cute neckerchief or bowtie and he smells fresh for days. For some added context, our dog has leash aggression. They know this and are perfect about doing a physical hand off so he can drop into the group of pups stress free. Could not be a bigger fan, we are so appreciative of the team here and their dog-centric approach to grooming and caring for pups!"
