"This was my second time to Chicago, so not my first time to a hotel in this specific block & neighborhood. I felt the need to write a review to help temper expectations for a 4-star hotel. Overall, the hotel and overall experience was mid, hence the 3 stars. Keep on reading for the details - 1. Overall hospitality was lacking. Diamond at the front desk must have been having a bad day when she greeted us. It’s not that the service was bad or she was rude or mean per se. Just that she didn’t seem to want to be there and wasn’t welcoming to out of staters. Additionally, no one actually ever explained what amenities existed or how to get to them. Meh experience. 2. Our room had a tub/shower combo. However, the tub didn’t have functioning bath stopper. It was one of those that wouldn’t let you stop the drain to fill the tub, probably because I couldn’t see an overflow safety. However, it’s just interesting and confusing to see a tub, but no functioning stopper. 3. Again, an interesting, confusing choice - there’s a fridge, but no microwave. There didn’t appear to be a microwave in the lobby. Maybe there was one, but we were never informed of any of the hotel’s amenities or features. 4. Another interesting, confusing choice - they have TVs, but no cable. I’ve stayed at lesser starred hotels with basic cable. They had a Google chromecast, however, it was a hit or a miss. It’d work sometimes and wouldn’t work other times (even after following all the troubleshooting FAQs). Two areas I’d like to highlight due to their wonderful service - (1) Valet & (2) Housekeeping. Valet was great - minus the fact we had some instances where the front desk didn’t communicate with valet we had requested our vehicle (they don’t have a way for you to communicate directly with the valet staff or request the vehicle via a text message or app unfortunately). Housekeeping was great as well, they came every day (we never put up our privacy sign) and replaced water bottles & coffee as we went through them (complimentary). They also gave use new towels each time."

"We stayed four nights and it was excellent ! The staff was wonderful and our room was amazing! We had an issue with the jacuzzi spa at midnight and they sent someone right up. The location is great, close to so much. Will definitely be back!"

"Awesome hotel with amazing staff and stunning views. Was a little rough to get to inside the city with all the work and events in the same weekend. Overall definitely recommend and would stay again anytime."

"Instead of a desk of chair in the room, there's a high-top table and a bench, which makes it impossible to comfortably get any work done in the hotel room. Sound-proofing is non-existant, the elevator machinery and everything happening in the hallway reverberated through my room. Made it very difficult to sleep. Truly a terrible choice for a work trip. maybe OK for vacation. Room was relatively clean."
