"Service was awesome! First I needed a tiny little screw to mount a solid state drive. He gave it to me for free. After that I had trouble reinstalling the CPU cooling fan. Something was broken. I called him back and he stayed late till I got there to drop off my computer. He took time out of his schedule to work on, and fix, my computer the very next morning. "Forget Geek Squad. Brought my Mac book pro to Alex for soup damage after reading great reviews! He wasn't sure if it was fixable since it had been like a month since the damage. He explained the process, sourced parts, called me to drop the comp to him. Paid for the parts. Had to order another part. At the end of it all, I paid a fraction of what I would have paid apple to fix it. My laptop works incredibly great. Service is honest and top notch! "I brought my Dell XPS to Alex (IndyComp owner and chief computer whisperer) with what appeared to me to be a failed and somewhat disintegrated power jack. He was very familiar with repairing this type of failure, even to the point that he had the exact replacement part in stock. He also checked the computer for any other hardware issues and found maintenance and cleaning to be lacking, which had resulted in it operating at the upper temperature limit. The high temperature issue would probably have caused issues in the near future. He said this was easy to fix. When I dropped off the computer I also asked him to optimize performance, which he did by reconfiguring memory and 'cleaning up things a bit'. He installed missing software updates and also did a comprehensive security scan whereupon he found some malware that he removed. I picked up my repaired and much improved laptop just 20 hours after I dropped it off! I considered the cost to be quite reasonable. Alex is extremely forthright and a very good communicator. When he found anything to be fixed that went beyond the failed power jack, he called me to describe the issue, what it meant, the cost to address it and ask whether I wanted him to take care of it. I strongly recommend IndyComp. Even though I dread future computer issues, there is no doubt on my mind that I'll be a repeat customer."
