"I had the pleasure of living at Vue53 in 2023. All in all, the entire process of leasing, living, and moving out was smooth and easy. The amenities are good and having a door person 24/7 made receiving packages / food delivery very convenient. Starting my day with a greeting from the doorman was also pleasant. I would live there again!"
"I have been living in this apartment for two years. For the first year, the management team was awesome, nice and fast-responsive. However, since the apartment changed its management team in summer of 2022, the living experience here has become a nightmare. 1. Hidden fees. The management team sometimes enters apartment without a written notice, perform a so-called "hygiene inspection", then fine you for whatever they deem bad. What's the law behind this behavior? We tenants are only supposed to make the apartment clean when we check out, as long as other people in the floor are not influenced. 2. False alarms. I never experienced a false alarm during my first year's stay here, but had 3 times false fire alarms in 2022-23, during the middle of a night! 3. POOR MANAGEMENT. They always find ways & reasons to debate with you and make everything look like your responsibility, rather than find a way to solve the problems there. What's most unacceptable is that the management team in the office are very unfriendly. The only thing that's worth something is the location. Convenient access to everything, but the room is disproportionately small compared to its high rents. It really depends on your own preference."
"I have had such a pleasant experience at Vue53! Even though the building is in a great location and well-kept, it's the people here that make this place home. I toured the building with Brianna and was able to see the amenities and how fresh, clean and kept the property is. She was down to earth and transparent about what to expect living there which I appreciated. More importantly, she was very kind to my daughter! I was impressed and ready for move in. Over a few weeks, I worked with the leasing agent Noel who was very professional, thoroughly presented the leasing process and submitted all of my paperwork almost effortlessly. She truly cared about my move-in experience and was always patient with me, ready to answer my questions. I feel very welcomed and at home here. Much gratitude for the staff and security team (LOVE THEM) who keeps our building safe and running smoothly!"
"Hidden Fees, False Fire Alarms, Poor Management and Overpricing! I would rate VUE zero star if having the option. I've been living here for two years. To be honest, the first year went pretty well from 2021-2022. But from the second year on, a series of ridiculous things are coming in over and over again. If you enjoy evacuating to the lobby at a freezing winter midnight or being intruded into your bedroom with the excuse of filter change, this might be a good fit for you. The management teams are doing nothing but making money from your pocket to theirs. 1. False fire alarm. It has happened at least three times this year and at midnight every time. The worse part is residents living here are losing confident in the fire alarm system, which is a huge safe hazard. 2. Hidden fees. The lease only lists move-out cleaning requirement and move-out cleaning fee. However, this year, they start to do quarterly cleaning inspection with the excuse of filter change. They also used this excuse to intrude into my bedroom and bathroom when I wasn't at home! They also try to charge me of cleaning fee, which is not included in the move-out cleaning charge. This means you might be charged FOUR times when they want your money if you keep staying here! Even though they act they care about your room cleanness, you can smell weed in your bedroom from the ventilation fan now and then. 3. Poor management and no security system. Many residents choose VUE because it has 24 hour concierge. But they have NO security facilities inside the building at all. Anyone can go straight into the building and take the elevator to anywhere in the building! The only place you need to fob into is a small gym! The apartment unit only has a thin door which can be broken into anytime by anyone! They are still increasing their rates dramatically this year. Hyde Park has many better, safer and more comfortable alternatives. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!"
