"Good location, and a Cuban sandwich place next door. Front desk service is alright, lot of new employees. Their library was closed and they didn’t know why. Also they do keep the rooms around 55 degrees Fahrenheit so be prepared for that. Good hot showers though. No meat for breakfast which is a downside for sure. Just oatmeal or other bread items like bagels or muffins. Comfortable beds and blankets."
"This is the best hostel I've ever stayed at. I stayed in a 6-8 bed mens dorm. There were 4 bunk beds in the room I stayed in and a very generous amount of shared space for you to store your personal belongings. There were also tall lockers for you to store your larger personal belongings. What makes this hostel a "luxury" is that each room has its own shower and toilet (two separate rooms), plus sinks! It is very convenient and you don't even have to leave your room to shower. If you want to, the floor also has community showers, which are often not busy because people tend to shower in their own room. The hostel provides breakfast, and the seating arrangements make it easy to meet new friends. The hostel also organizes great events. The hostel is located in a convenient location - walk 5-8 min to the subway station, and many major tourist attractions are within 20-30 minutes of walking distance. The only caution I would mention is that some homeless people reside outside the same block as the hostel, but they are no cause for concern. This hostel is great value for exploring Chicago. I would stay here again."
"Highly recommend this hostel!! I've stayed here twice and had an amazing experience both times. Amazing location, a few minutes walk to Lake Michigan and many great food options. I was traveling solo and felt very safe both at the hostel and walking around the area. All of the facilities were very clean and comfortable. Free breakfast as well! I really appreciated how they have free events each day. Highly recommend the Chicago city tour! The people at the front desk were super helpful as well. One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Will definitely be back!!!"
"Stayed in a bunk bed private room with my friend and the room was alright. It was small and the blankets were thin but it was definitely good enough for me. The suite bathroom, shared by the other 5(?) private rooms, were a bit grimy and the lights flickered but the ones in the hallway were better. Also the bathroom door slammed pretty loud and we could hear it all night. However, the common area on the 2nd floor was nice, usually pretty quiet so a good place to work if needed. There were events held in the evenings so you can meet people. The free breakfast was pretty basic, but at least it was free. The industrial kitchen and free coffee on the 2nd floor was also a plus. Front desk people were also always nice. And the location is great."
"Im a female solo traveler. I felt save in that hostel. I stayed in 4 bed female room. It was nice, quiet and spacious. Plenty of shared space, different activities, kitchen you can use, pretty good breakfast. Laundry rooms you can use. All you need for your budget stay. Good location, walking distance to the millennium park, transportation near by. Overall I’m very happy with my experience. If you looking for save budget stay, it’s a perfect place!"
