"My room was noticeably dirty, as you can see in the photos. The door latch was loose. After checking with the front desk, I wasn't able to switch rooms due to the hotel being completely booked. In retrospect, I don't think it would have made a difference to switch rooms because, as I was checking out, I noticed the housekeepers service cart had no cleaning products on it. The only thing I saw was fitted and top sheets, and toiletries. I also did not like having to walk two blocks away to park. Thank God there was another parking structure right next door. For 300 dollars a night, I expected more from this hotel, especially with it being on Michigan Ave."

"Some very nice personal touches at this hotel. All staff are amazing, so helpful, particularly Jasmine. Excellent restaurant/bar with really great, innovative food. They even gave me a voucher each day to spend there. A decent workout facility as well, actually better than I expected with a stairmaster and other machines, free weights, pull up bar, etc. Rooms are modern, well equipped. Wish the bottom bed sheet were fitted, though, not just another sheet. You can tell when a hotel does extensive training and is generous to their guests. That's what this one is! I will definitely stay here again next time in Chicago."

"Absolutely beautiful, chic and great customer service. As soon as I walked in the staff made sure my every need was met and welcomed me with such warmth I felt like I was created by family. Ro, my front desk representative, was exceptional and greeted me with amazing kindness. The hotel is conveniently located close to Grant Park, it is in a safe area, has paid parking available if needed and a nice restaurant. The manager was super friendly as well. The rooms are modern chic and updated. The staff create a beautiful ambiance with over 200 candles greeting you in the lobby in the evening. It is definitely a vibe. If you travel a lot like me and are tired of staying at sterile hotels with the same layouts/ rooms, this is definitely the place for you. I would definitely stay there again."

"Traveled recently for work. The valet and waitstaff service at the hotel restaurant/bar needs serious improvement. The restaurant staff at night has little urgency to wait on the patrons. Also, my room was never cleaned. The rooms are nice and it’s a cheap option however there are too many other Marriott locations available with better service. Had planned to stay at this location next week but booked at another property."

"The entrance is on 8th street. For valet, just pull up anywhere in front and they'll help you out. Great hotel for the price. All the staff were exceptional. They were always asking if you needed anything, without being overbearing. They allowed me to check my bag after I had already checked out which was great. Robe and slippers provided. Chocolate on the nightstand. Exceptionally clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Pillows were maybe a little on the soft side, but that's personal preference. Hallways can get a bit noisy but outside noise is blocked pretty well. The only minus I have is I'm not a huge fan of hotels that allow dogs, and I did hear one dog barking at 10:45 pm. But honestly, not the end of the world and it stopped within 15 minutes. I will absolutely stay again and will add it to the list of places I'd recommend to anyone visiting."
