"I hate having to leave such a bad review cause the front desk ladies were very nice but our room was horrendous. The 3.7 rating is extremely misleading. We were exhausted and desperate to get some sleep. Otherwise, I would've demanded a refund and left. It smelled like cigarettes and dust. It clearly hadn't been wiped down in a while based on how dusty surfaces were. There was spilled soda or something in the mini fridge. In the morning, the shower didn't have hot water but since I was very skeptical about housekeeping's cleaning practices to begin with, we went to a Love's. It's bizarre that a truck stop had better showers than a motel. Oh and a german roach made an appearance. Just horrendous, even by cheap motel standards"

"I noticed there was a hair ball and dark strands of hair in our hand towel before I even used the restroom & washed my hands. You can tell they're trying to fancy it up with the remodeling, but the bed creaked & moaned like a Super 8, the bed sheets had many worn down spots that were see through like a Super 8, BUT breakfast was like a Wyndham! It's good-enough for all your sleeping needs."

"I normally don’t leave reviews but this place I had to… talking bout old school Ms southern hospitality treats everybody like they known them they whole life’s. Big breakfast for what hotels put out these days. Clean rooms nice beds this place is a hidden gem… definitely staying here everytime when I come down"

"The bad parts... Our room needed swept and mopped, and if it had been recently, it was not very well done. There was dirt all around the outside of the toilet and the bathtub. Inside of the bathtub had left over soap residue from a previous guest, dirt and hair. On the first night we kept getting prank calls and had to unplug the room phone. Then housekeeping cop-knocked our door at 7:25am. Then I had to ask for a do not disturb sign, which our room lacked. This place has dirty hand prints everywhere, drink splashes on the side of the walls, the TV is tiny and the back would not stay on the remote. There was not a coffee maker in the room either. Our double queen room was a double full room. Now for the good things... There was a microwave and a large mini fridge in the room. Also a clothes iron and hair dryer as well. The beds looked super worn out but, they and the pillows, were super comfortable. The wall art was beautiful. All staff were kind and polite."

"Let me start off by saying. I've seen all the horrible reviews and I don't know what they're going on about. This hotel is one of the better ones ive stayed at. Not in terms of stars, but in terms of quality, hot water, ice cold ac, decent size fridge, and an okay microwave. TV is a bit small, but at least there's a TV. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and I say this as someone whose stayed at this hotel almost every weekend for the last month or so. (For context my wife and kid come to visit while I'm in tech school on keesler.) Don't let the poor reviews influence your decision to stay that this affordable luxurious hotel. Edit: The lady's at the office always make us feel welcomed, which is why we keep coming back rather than booking elsewhere."
