"This was our second stay at The Roost and we just love it! This time we stayed in the separate building in the Ibis room. The location is incredible - easy walk to the wonderful downtown shops, restaurants and bars. The staff is incredible - seriously, they couldn't be more of a joy! The Wilbur has great drinks and small plates if you don't want to head downtown but would rather take advantage of your porch. The only reason for a 4 star rating on the room is that I wish there was a tad more storage for clothing and toiletries. Definitely not enough of an issue to be a deal breaker!"

"Our stay at The Roost was wonderful! All of the staff was so nice. We loved our room. My brother and his wife stayed in a suite, which was really nice and it's within walking distance to their main drag. We felt safe to walk at night. We'll be back for sure."

"Stayed at the Roost for the first time in the Orchid suite. Check in was easy and friendly. The room was big and offered wonderful amenities like a fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom is big and the shower is luxurious with its marble walls and floor and rain shower head. Having our own balcony was nice for quiet coffee time. The walls were a bit scuffed and could use a refresh of paint. We stopped at the Wilbur for a drink as I thought it would be a good place to have my first mint julep, but they had no fresh mint. So we ordered off the menu and had something seasonal. We were surprised after coming back from a day out that someone had been in our room to refresh our towels. Nothing else seemed to have been done, so not a full housekeeping - just towels. It was a little unnerving as we didn’t realize someone would be in our room in our absence. It’s a good practice, we just weren’t aware. Outside of the Roost’s control is the train noise, which is loud and persistent into the evening. The location of the hotel is wonderful as we were able to walk anywhere downtown and to the water."
