Days Inn by Wyndham Ocean Springs

"The room I stayed in the evening of October 12 (119 I think) was decently priced and mostly clean with 2 exceptions: the carpet desperately needed to be shampooed with a carpet cleaner & I noticed a couple of live bugs coming from the wall area behind where the phone was. Furthermore, the remote control only worked in the volume and power button but was unable to change the channel and pull up the guide. Glad to have gotten the room without a reservation and the price was decent."

"To all whom are interested in seeing what the reality of this hotel is like in-person please continue to read.. I booked my stay in advance online and had staff give me a room based on my reservation.. Staff gives me my room number and writes it down on my keycard and apologizes for the computer delay as their computers barely just got upgraded from Windows 95 last week and are only slightly better now.. Staff continues with an offer extended to me as I am a diamond member that I can stay an additional hour and leave at noon instead of 11 A.M. at no additional cost.. I agree to this extra free hour as I dearly needed sleep.. I go to my room.. The keycard works fine.. I go to sleep and wake up and start trying to get ready to shower right away.. Then.. 10:45 A.M. BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! FRONT DESK!! OPEN UP RIGHT NOW!! BANG! BANG! BANG! I try to get clothes on and next they are being stopped by the physical latch on the door. I plead with them.. Please let me get dressed I am trying to shower and trying to get clothes on. They close the door and as soon as they clasp it shut BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! OPEN UP!!!! I open the door and they accuse me of not paying, which was a lie. I inform them I was seeing 2 pending charges for the room so one is probably the deposit that goes away at checkout and the other the room charge. They said they saw no payment.. More lies.. They say I filled out the WRONG paperwork and I say the paperwork I was given to sign for I signed and they gave me my key. They say I am now in someone else’s room. I show them my keycard and that I am in my room as it matched. She tells me that she knows I am in that room. Makes no sense now as she just said I wasn’t. She says she has to talk with her manager. I said I was just trying to shower and see you guys shortly anyways when I’m done so I can checkout. She doesn’t care. Under 30 seconds later the hotel phone rings and it is the same crazy lady saying her manager needs to see me and I need to come down there right now!! I say can’t I at least shower I am trying to shower so I can checkout afterwards anyways. She says NO!!! YOU HAVE TO COME DOWN RIGHT NOW YOU CANNOT SHOWER!!! I try to tell ask the hotel manager what is so important that I cannot shower in my room? She says she ‘only’ needed to know I was not double charged and that it was to save me money. I said I WAS TOLD I HAD TO COME DOWN FOR THIS?!?! The hotel manager says no I could’ve waited. I said NO I WAS TOLD I HAD TO COME DOWN HERE FOR THIS RIGHT NOW AND I’M NOT ALLOWED TO SHOWER. Then the front desk woman that could be in SWAT tryouts says ‘I’ was rude to ‘HER’ because I hung up. Are you kidding? I was trying to tell the hotel manager they need to tell their employees they cannot replicate scenarios like they are the police for forms of casual first contact and this crazy lady tells me I AM THE POLICE. The hotel manager goes to hand me my key back and I say oh you can keep it now I am down here now that I had no choice but to come down and say I am finding a new hotel. Now the crazy lady interrupts and says GOODBYE!!!! Next maintenance wants to start getting involved and close to me and getting testy like he is about to grab me and the hotel manager is doing NOTHING to stop this circus and I say to the hotel manager have I been charged at least once? She says yes and I say I will never be back. Moral of the story.. They use old computers and incompetent actors for con artists to double book and instead of telling the incoming customer I’m sorry we’re all booked up or you will have to wait unfortunately as you arrived late/early then we booked the room already or that they have another room available and that’s it or issuing a refund if they cannot patiently wait on paying customers to finish up their stay uninterrupted.. And instead of any of that then they harass and yell and heckle you and intimidate you to try to scare you inti surrendering the remainder of your stay and keeping your time and money. This hotel is a roadside scam. Do not stay here."

"Guess you get what you pay for. The carpet was filthy and not vacuumed. The shower was dirty. There was no coffee pot and 1 tiny trash can. The ac didn't get very cool. We had to buy febreeze because our non smoking room smelled like someone chain smoked in it the last 5 years. The drawers in the room were all dirty too. The toilet had to be flushed several times. There was water leaking from the ceiling in the lobby. Also I booked in advance through Expedia and opted to pay upon arrival but they charged my card the day before we even checked in instead of upon arrival. Other than that there no bugs, and it was a place to sleep while we were on vacation."

"We stayed one night at the Days Inn by Wyndham Ocean Springs. It looked a little run down and like it needed some sprucing up. The bed was super hard and the pillows weren't great. They were very small and even with my arm under it, I had lots of trouble trying to fall asleep due to how low my head was. I barely slept because of the road noise - I expected some noise, but it was a little extreme for it not being on the interstate. The pool was super small and didn't look too kept up. Overall, it's a room with a bathroom. I've stayed in worse."

"We checked in and 15 min later checked out. Dead bugs on floor, smelly room, AC barely functional, bugs in toilet. Nothing was clean anywhere. Approached by a creepy guy by room. Tried to get rooms at hotel next door which was virtually brand new and it was the same. Left and ended up 20 miles E in a lovely hotel suite. Don't stay here. Another family also checked in and checked out as well while we were there. Never had this happen ever with any Wyndham hotels. Very sad state of affairs. Also will note staff seemed especially stressed out!"
