"I’m from the Chicago suburbs and I can tell you this restaurant is representative of how Chicago style pizza should be. If you never have had it get uncut well done. Experiment. The Lou well done is life. This specific location has staff that really goes out of the way to make sure you’re happy with your order and the current stars is uncalled for. Great service great deep dish. Feed the Fam and enjoy. Just be specific on what you like and they will get you to the finish line !"
"We ordered a deep dish pizza last night and it was full of grease! Grease an inch thick just floating on top of the pizza! It was suppose to be a deep dish with sausage, mushroom, onion, and black olives. It looked and tasted so bad none of my family could eat it!!! The (8) wings were delicious! We were so disappointed! $60 worth of food and it was wasted!"
"Arrived as they opened at 4pm. Placed my order, and it was ready within 30 minutes. Got kit home, since there is no seating available, and couldn’t wait to taste it, because it smelled so good. WOW!! Was so satisfied, and glad I decided to try this place"
"Happened to be up this way n found they serve my favorite deep dish pizza without driving 3 extra hours! I was skeptical cause dining in at a Lou’s in Chicago is a must! I highly recommend the Chicago with buttered crust! I ordered it to go as well there is no dining in! I arrived and it’s in a strip mall with some other restaurants made me worried a little more as I arrived! The front counter lady was great, friendly, inviting, and so I tipped her well! Pizza box was the same packaging n out the door! I opened the box in the car before I left n it looked identical n incredible like at the restaurant! I honestly couldn’t wait I took a bite n heaven! I ate the whole slice in the lot n then got on the road just smelling the pie all the way to Cincinnati my mouth watering! Got home n ate the rest! Definitely be back soon! Get some cookies too- Amazing!"
"This is no regular eat in pizza place - you actually can't eat in the restaurant at all. This is a real "Chicago Pizza place" and when you see the prices it's a bit shocking to pay as much for a pizza as a nice sit down dinner. Prices are about the same as their competitor Giordano's. Both pizza places were founded in Chicago and both are known for fantastic deep dish style pizzas. On your first visit you should register and then utilize the app each time you order here. You can easily see that loyalty is recognized and rewarded here. Chris the manager was a true professional and the kids working upfront provided the guidance and help I needed on my first visit. Military/Police/Public service all get recognized and save 15% off. Personally I love when restaurants provide these kinds of discounts and save me from carrying around coupons, but then again it's disappointing to find that a restaurant provides a coupon and doesn't even pass that same deal on. You won't have this problem here but be prepared to spend 30-40$ for pizza!!! So let's get to the PIZZA taste & review: After ordering I waited about 25 mins which was no big deal. Upon getting home, I unboxed the PIZZA and it looked amazing! The cheese bread looked disappointing, however the sauce in the middle container was nice because it appeared they didn't skimp. I hate running out of sauce - you won't here! Now the taste: I was happy with the pizza but coming off a soggy box was a lot different than eating it at the Chicago restaurant served fresh on a pan to your table. This was different and honestly does provide a different taste, and experience, that's not the perfection like you hope for. The cheese bread well that's a real bummer and I would tell you it was definitely not worth paying for - I felt like I wasted money. The pizza was the highlight and next time will be the only thing I order. Overall it was a fine pizza and will return for it again - while I can't provide the restaurant a perfect rating. I am being fair it's a solid 4 out of 5. It was my sincere hopes that This would edge out my rating of Giordano's but I have them both at a 4. It's very very hard to give just a 4 star review without being more precise. This is a 4.5 and Giordano's is a 4.7. So very very close. I do think most will like the pizza here. It's very filling and no doubt you'll want to pack some in your lunchbox for tomorrow. I will return and recommend Lou Malnati's to my friends, family, and followers because it's still one of the best pizza places around. ADDED/Updated next day: Warning the pizza will stick to the box and if you grab a piece quickly you may not notice that your eating CARDBOARD!!!! This is an issue that can be corrected- use foil to keep your leftovers in!"
