"Great Place! 100% recommended staff was great! Kathy’s weekend food was awesome! Counseling classes wonderful! Clean n Pristine! Had a successful time there in November, Had a 5 day slip but good now 2 weeks! Awesome place for your recovery!"
"If you work with Integrated Services of Kalamazoo (ISK), do not bring your medication with you. It was a complete nightmare. They couldn't override any of the medications or give me any of their meds. The nursing staff cannot be trusted. They input the wrong information, lack communication amongst each other, clearly have either faulty tests or lying nurses. They kicked me out for testing postive for Benzos when A). They were they last people to give me a Benzo and B). I tested negative for it at Family Health Center. It was embarrassing and rude. They held the medication I came in with hostage (because I work with ISK). The food is mostly terrible. Pack some cup of noodles and frozen dinners. Other than that, most of the staff is amazing and supportive, I met some cool people and it's a shame everything else sucked and I was robbed 5 days of treatment."
"I've been sober close to two years and funny, I met my husband here. We've both been sober and have a amazing little boy together! Thank you guys! Especially Vinny! Rock on!"
"First (and hopefully my last) experience in a treatment center. I was a sloshed-out, psychotic, sobbing mess of a human when admitted. The staff, nurses, therapists were very supportive and patient with me. I'm beyond grateful for their tolerance and how well they put up with me. I may have arrived at a lucky time, but I made strong bonds with many residents in recovery. I can't speak for everyone's afflictions but as someone recovering from Alcoholism- it made a huge difference to be around a group of people experiencing the agony of addiction. Many fond memories and experiences I will never forget. It took me a few days to adapt but after getting used to a routine it turned to out to be fun. I started looking forward to the next day and enjoying the people I became friends with. I felt being light-hearted, using humor and not taking things too seriously made things more enjoyable. I actually felt kinda sad to leave, and I miss those people The day I left, got home and settled back in the 'normal' world; I went to the grocery store. I looked down the liquor aisle and I actually felt sick. So I think that's a good sign for now- I'm not feeling the immediate 'urge' to drink. I didn't think I could ever get to this state and I give enormous credit to the Gilmore center for helping me."
