"This negative review is for the Endoscopy department. Unfortunately, their specific page has reviews disabled. After my visit today, I know why. I took my mom in for a procedure this morning. She was immediately treated rudely by the receptionist. When my mom threatened to leave, the receptionist became more cordial. In my opinion she should have left. Even though we showed up early, they began the procedure 40 minutes late. The problem is that I'm the only one who can bring her to Kalamazoo , and I had to go to work just down the street for a couple hours from 10:30-12:30. The scheduler told her she would be done by 10. However, our contingency plan was that if she wasn't done by the time I had to leave, she could certainly wait in the atrium until 12:30. She's going to pay $2000 for this and her insurance company will stupidly pay $20,000 so why couldn't she wait there for me in the atrium where no one is? Okay, so 10:00 comes around and my mom is dressed and ready to go. She asked if someone could go out and notify me. No one came out to the waiting room to tell me. At 10:05 my mom asked again if someone could notify me. Again, no one did. At 10:08 she asked a third time. Again, no one notified me. At that point, I had to go to work. Halfway to work, they finally gave my mother her phone so she could call me. I turned my car around and headed back to John Street. Before I hung up, the voice of the male orderly in charge of releasing her came through her phone and said "Come and get your mom!!!" in an extremely rude tone, as if my mom is a bag of garbage that Bronson Hospital needs to get rid of before it starts stinking up the place. I'll also note that he had no permission to scream at me through my mother's phone. What kind of lunatic thinks it's perfectly ok to eavesdrop on patient's phone conversations and then yell at the person on the other line? They have my phone number. Why couldn't he call me and speak to me like a professional? For those reasons. I gave him a piece of my mind. He still didn't realize what he had done wrong and acted shocked that I would speak to him that way. This is an example of entitlement. Today's experience was an eye opener. This is not a nice place to be especially if you're elderly and nervous about invasive procedures. What they excel at is accelerating anxiety in already uncomfortable situations. It is also important to add that my mom called Bronson staff 3 times in the weeks leading up to this procedure to explain our time conflict and contingency plan. No one replied to her messages. Finally, she originally requested that this procedure be done at Bronson Battle Creek, her home, where someone could stay with her indefinitely. Bronson staff coerced her to have the procedure done in Kalamazoo instead. In fact, they told her she could not have it done in Battle Creek, which is false. This violates her HIPPA right as does eavesdropping on her phone calls."

"I go to the women’s services in the North campus area. I go for my prenatal appointments and ultrasound. There’s usually plenty of parking and I’m seen quick after checking in. There’s never a ton of ppl waiting in the lobby and everyone who works here is friendly and helpful. Mim is my fav OBGYN."
